i want start an affiliate website but i don’t how and i need some free advice in order to be successful. for example, i need to know how to generate leads etc.
Get a niche/ category that is very profitable
since yo new. make sure it has low competition
build your website around the keywords you want it to rank for
promote your website
get leads
Traffic = leads
GET TRAFFIC.
Well well this comes in stages.
First find a niche that you know a lot about, a target audience that you can related to and give up to date information or quality opinions on. It must be something both specific and general at the same time. For example, a “video game” niche wouldn’t work, it’s too big, you’re only one person, you can’t aim for the top like that. However, an “Xbox Game” niche would work, it’s not too big but it’s not small either.
Second build a site around your niche and make a marketting strategy. Are you giving away coupons and deals for your niche? Are you posting the latest news that would be important to your niche? Are you offering software related to your niche? You have to offer a service that would drive people to your website.
Third don’t put ads all over your website immediately. Wait a little while, buidl up a fanbase, set up trackers to see how many recurring visitors you have. Having 50-60 unique hits per day is nothing (I got that in 1 month on my old affiliate website with minimal effort) but 50-60 recurring hits per day is something to brag about, if they come back you’re doing something right!
Fourth, once you have a decent base, start sneaking in ads here and there, preferably start off with text link ads from google adsense. Those are very quick to load and don’t take up a lot of resources to function, speed of your site is important.
Fifth, when your fanbase starts becoming very loyal replace the google ads with more profitable ones. Affiliate links should be for your niche (if you’re making a website about politics, set up an Amazon affiliate widget to books on politics or political support items).
And now you have a fairly successful website! Of course this is the basics, you also have to do all the SEO like optimization, backlink generation, and social bookmarking.
