Here’s the lowdown, I’m 15 and 16 on Wednesday. I LOVE business! Literally I thought at first I just liked it because I like money. But then I have come to the realisation that business is on my mind 24/7, I think about possible business ideas, new inventions etc. My GCSE Business grades are straight Distinctions (A*s) and I already plan to study double business then an economics degree.
Business has become my passion! I have a great idea for a Social Media business with a niche that I think hasn’t fulfilled it’s potential yet! So I want to make the difference! Anyway the stock market has also gained my attention so much! I love numbers so it’s quite reasonable. I sometimes find myself randomly searching up quotes on yahoo finance haha!
For my birthday i’ve asked for several books including Richard Branson’s Screw Business as usual and the intelligent investor.
So my question, is it a good idea to plan my business and also learn to invest? (I’ll start by paper trading for about 3-6 months)
Also could anyone recommend any other books or idols? Currently I’m in love with Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Richard Branson and Cameron Johnson!

A senior lawmaker says assassination of Iranian scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan proves that the confidential information provided to international bodies by Iran has been leaked to the country’s enemies.
“The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must be trusted by nations because nations and governments give their documents to the agency,”
“How the enemies of Iran have obtained the names and information of our country’s elite is a question we would like to know the answer to,” he added.
He stressed that the IAEA, international community and the UN nuclear agency’s member states using their membership against Iran must be held accountable for their actions.
The lawmaker said the resemblance of the Wednesday assassination and other Zionist-American killings indicate that the “principle of assassination has been institutionalized in the American system and Zionist regime.”
“Assassinations like what happened in Tehran this morning lack operational value as such assassinations are called blind [acts of terror] which prove the maximum frustration of the enemies because they have not been able to weaken the [Iranian] nation’s resolve and therefore resort to any shameful measure,”
Ahmadi Roshan was a Sharif University of Technology chemical engineering graduate and served as the deputy director of marketing at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility.
On Wednesday morning, an unknown motorcyclist attached a sticky bomb to Ahmadi Roshan’s car near Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran.
Ahmadi Roshan was immediately killed as the result of explosion, and his driver, who had sustained injures, passed away a few hours later in hospital.
[*** A number of Iranian scientists have been assassinated over the past few years. Professor Majid Shahriari and Professor Masoud Ali-Mohammadi are among the victims of these acts of terror.
According to reports, Ahmadi Roshan had recently met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, a fact which indicates that the IAEA has leaked information about Iran’s nuclear facilities and scientists.]

I’m atheist. My three-year-old daughter goes to a secular private preschool. All of the school’s documents say that the school is not religiously affiliated, and I made sure that the teacher understood we were atheist before I sent her to that school.
Today, my daughter sat down and recited a Christian blessing over her lunch. I asked her where she learned it, and she told me in no uncertain terms that her teacher has them “say the blessing” before eating. I asked her several times for clarification: is she the only one praying? Does she tell you to pray, too? Does this happen every day? And she made it very clear that this is a daily thing.
I’m absolutely livid. I paid $3,000 for a semester’s tuition at this school (that’s a third of my income) with the understanding that this stuff wouldn’t be happening there! Other than talking to the supervisors, would it be reasonable to request a refund, since the teacher misrepresented the school’s curriculum? If I’m not getting what I paid for, I want my money back!
Add to this that my daughter hasn’t learned ANYTHING since she started in school a semester ago, when it’s supposed to be the best pre-K education in the county… and I’m MAD! >:U

My Navy Recruiter suggested that I apply for an NROTC scholarship, and one of the requirements are two personal essays, one of which I’ve made some progress with.
The first one is “Discuss your reasons for wanting to become a Naval Officer”
To which I said:
“My stepfather, who retired as an E-6 in the Air Force, once explained to me what it took to become an officer. He told me that it goes beyond Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Becoming an officer requires all of those, but it also requires becoming a role model—a leader. He went on to explain that a leader isn’t just someone who tells people what to do and how to do it, but that a leader is someone who earns the right to do so by gaining the respect of their fellow man.
The best way to earn the right to lead, he said, is through hard work and perseverance. No man, or woman, ever became a great leader by sitting back and watching others work. A leader has to be there beside their men. They have to share their pain if they ever hope to earn their loyalty.
Being a leader is even more than that, though. It also takes initiative; the ability to step up and take on the role of responsibility. This doesn’t necessarily mean volunteering one’s self, but rather being willing to take up the post when the need arises.
In my life, and especially in recent years, I’ve pushed myself to exhibit all of these qualities. I treat all my peers as equal, respecting their wishes and boundaries rather than trying to bully my way around them. Additionally, I’ve never been one to stand back and watch while the people around me work: I can always be found right next to people working, either helping them accomplish their task, or simply lessening their burden as much as I can. And while I’m willing to follow behind someone, I’m also ready and able to take on whatever role I am required to fill.
My father, an E-4 in the Marine Corps, told me never to stop at “good enough.” When I was younger, I resented it, because I had always thought that I could get by with the minimum effort. But as time passed, I discovered that “good enough” is a meaningless phrase. People who scrape by with phrases like “good enough” and “I’ve done enough” never reach their full potential. And when I realized this, I realized that I didn’t want to be just “good enough.” To me, that would be the same as being mediocre.
It was after this realization that I decided I didn’t have much interest in attending college as a civilian. I didn’t want to finish my schooling, only to discover that my chosen major led to a career of no real significance in the grand scheme of things. I’m the sort of person that wants to impact their community—their world—on a much larger scale than simply filling a niche. And so after much thought and discussion, I went to my local recruitment office, and made the decision to join the Navy.
As I’ve worked through high school and waited anxiously for graduation, and for my ship date to arrive, I’ve discovered something about myself: I’ll never be content to stop at Enlistee. The average soldier will make an impact on their world, of this there is no doubt. But I decided long ago that while serving my nation is my calling, if I’m to become the best I can be, I need to push myself as far as I possibly can.
By commissioning, I believe that I can reach my full potential in ways that I otherwise could not. Basic training will push my physical and emotional limits; officer school will push my mental limits. Both are needed if I’m to mold myself into the soldier that I dream of becoming; they will instill in me the discipline, the wisdom, and the courage needed to become a true leader.
Joining the Navy was the first step on my road to success. Basic training will be the next, and officer’s school after that. In my eyes, there are no shortcuts or half-efforts; I will go the distance, however long it takes me to get there.”
