I bought a Huawei Blaze last week but I have been having a few issues that I cannot get answers for from the handbook, from the company I bought it from nor Huawei website as it won’t let me register for some reason!
So, my queries are, how do I access the internet when I am out and about? I am fine when in a Wifi zone but when travelling in the car for example I am unable to access the internet. I pay for 500mb of data per month so its not to do with my tariff, there must just be a simple setting that I’m missing?
Also, when I got the phone it came with a different number assigned to it but I got my current number to replace the one on the sim card, however, my proper number is showing when i call people etc but say i look at a text i sent and click on my picture then the number shows as the number that came with the phone so how can i change my personal profile on the phone?

re 2nd part numbers that is history, as in you can’t change it
If you send a text using the ‘new’ number it will always be recorded as that.
You need to reset it [phone settings] with the CORRECT number on the phone,
The phone settings HAVE picked up the number from EITHER the text you sent out or had that sim inserted when tou created that profile. Amend or start again
re internet /wifi
Huawei is a Model I am not familiar with ( in fact any model, their loss)
So as you have read the manual
you will NOW recognise the fault and how to correct it, I describe the procedure for another phone (Blackberry)
INTRO, Connection to the internet is an either/or, 3G network or WIFI (think hairdryer HI/LO) this is done via the “APN”
Turning on Wifi does TWO things turns ON WIFI & turns OFF 3G, ie points the APN to Wifi from 3G
However…
Turning OFF Wifi does ONE thing turns OFF WIFI, The APN still points to Wifi (you want 3G)
~~~~Main menu / Manage Connections / Networks and Connections~~~~[[Blackberry]]
Where you now change it to the APN (the network) and each time after you use Wifi
ALSO….. if you have ADD another Wifi eg Wifi (2) Cafe
Same thing, say WIFI (1) is your home hub you need to switch from Wifi (2) to Wifi (1) to use home hub after using cafe or 3G if you want network internet
Settings stay the same until you change them which is due to your location ( change)
