Questions About Selling On Clickbanks.net?

I have a product idea that I am considering selling through Clickbank. I don’t expect it to be just a HUGE seller – it’s in a craft niche and I know that’s not one of the better ones, but I know a lot about this niche and can create a great product. There doesn’t seem to be anything comparable on CB.
But I thought this would be a great opportunity to ‘get my feet wet’ in this area of IM.
What I am wondering about is if a product has a gravity of 10 (that’s just an arbitrary number), what does that represent? I’m just trying to get an idea of about how many sales are possible, although I know that no one can really predict this.
My other question is how do affiliates find the product to promote it? The reason that I want to go through Clickbanks.net is so that I can focus on the product and affiliates can focus on the promotion, right? So, will I still need to go out and find affiliates?

Gravity refers to the number of affiliates that are currently making sales with a given product.
Affiliates browse the click bank marketplace by categories of interest to them and then select a product.
Physical products can be also listed with commission junction and there are many more websites where you can list your product just do a search and then choose the ones that interest you.
It is always wise not to put all your eggs in one basket!
Depending on your website traffic there is usually a good opportunity to attract affiliate marketers from there on one of your pages. You can still have them signup at clickbank and have it managed through them or you can get free and paid affiliate software and manage your own through paypal. The alternative does take a lot more work but it is effective.
One thing that needs to be pointed out is the fact that an affiliate marketing program is only as viable as the ability to drive traffic to the accompanying promotional site.
Building a niche website is and excellent way to achieve this easily.

You are asking very good questions. I’ve been doing internet marketing for a year and have found great success with ClickBank. To answer your question about gravity of 10, it represents the volume of sales that product has been receiving from affiliates. In other words, 10 means that the potential for sale is very low. The possibility of sale for a low rank product is probably at most 1 or 2 a month.
Affiliates find a program on clickbank either by email, applying for that program, or they look in the ClickBank Market Place and they look at the niche catorgories, find a product they like and then begin promoting it.
To answer your last question, It is better to have a product then to be an affiliate. But you will need to go out and get affiliates. http://www.boedickermarketing.net has a program called wealth in a box that teaches you how to go get affiliates and the ins and outs about clickbank.

I am both a seller and affiliate on clickbank. You have to know that most people that actually make sales on clickbank are experienced marketers. Even if you will make 1-2 sales per week after 6-7 months, not a lot of people will recommend and promote your product since the gravity will stay low. I have some useful informations to provide to you. You must start as an affiliate and build an email list, try to get around 1,000 emails targetted to your niche first then you can launch your product and tell those 1,000 people. You’ll make around 100 sales basically. So you will already grow up on clickbank very fast and all affiliates will choose your product for about 1 week. That’s always how i do it and it works pretty well since i’ve been earning around 300,000$+ every year from it.
I hope this helps you out, all tactics i use are in my blog below.
    Jimmy 😉
