Because we believe in evangelizing by living the gospel, and only preaching it when necessary

It’s not just Catholics. Thanks to so called ‘Christian’ bookstores and incredibly shallow theological books like the ‘Purpose Driven Life’ Christians today are too biblically illiterate to answer even the most basic questions.

Please clarify: unable to witness **what**?
    2) I get told that this is the priest job
Unfortunately, it seems that whatever was told to you was not done so clearly.
    3) I only know a handful of Catholics(friends of mine) that actualy read bible
This seems completely irrelevant to the preceding question and statement.

The Pope said he wants all Catholics to get out and set a good example, and bring in new believers.
    He said it in 1999.
I guess Catholics aren’t keen on obeying the Pope.

Reading the catholic bible is a must for catholics nowadays, altho some may not.
I have studied the holy scriptures, interpretations and commentaries from all angles including the theologies and work of our ancient father. Due to everybody’s conflicting views from the 40,000 protestant ministries; I have concluded: yes if the Prots are reconciled to catholic’s teaching, I will take it. Reject the conflicting versions. Reason at the end, to accept the priest sermons, as it reflect the true catholic interpretations.. from the Apostles handed down to our ancient fathers, then to the apostolic succession which is now preserve and guarded by the Pope in Rome.
In short, no private interpretations as what St Peter said.
