We live in a nice house and my dad was in the military a long time ago but stopped before I was born. I know he used to sell houses but since the market crash he can’t do that anymore.now he leaves the house at mysterious times, (even really really late at night sometimes) and I have no clue what his job is. I’ve asked my mom but she always gives me some bs and I can tell she’s lying. So could it be that my dad has some secret job we don’t know about?

You may not know. Your mom knows.
Unless he is a spy there is no reason he can’t tell anyone. I’m sure your mom knows what his job is she just isn’t telling you.
He could be an undercover police officer and does not want anyone blowing his cover if they find out so he tells very few people.
Let me guess she always gives the same BS answer. that is clearly BS because you don’t like it.
