Hello, I’m looking to do my undergraduate degree in EE and I was wondering what university would you recommend. Here are my two options (both Canadian Universities)
Option One: University of Western Ontario (UWO)
– a more diverse, social (party-type) university , might have more clubs
-Tons of options. General First year of engineering, several specializations
(i.e, embedded systems, power systems, wireless communications)
They also allow you to:
a) get dual degrees in EE & Comp Sci or Physics or Bio or Economics, Honors Business Administration in 5 years
b) Bachelors of Engineering plus a Juris Doctor (JD) in 6 years (competitive)
c)Bachelors of Engineering with a doctor of medicine (MD) in 7 years (highly competitive)
d) Bachelors of Engineering plus a Masters of Engineering in 5 years.
-Co-op is available, not as many placements as the following university
-Campus is more attractive
Option Two: University of Waterloo
-Not as diverse (mostly Chinese and Indian students) who do not party as much. Much more focused on academics (which isn’t a bad thing, but i’d probably not be near the top of the class)
-One of the best engineering universities in the world. Affiliated with the likes of Research in Motion,(This university is the birthplace of Blackberries) , Microsoft (Bill Gates did a speech there), IBM, Apple, Google & the Perimeter Institute of Physics where Stephen Hawking has presented many times.
-Tons of research in emerging areas like Quantum Computing & Quantum cryptography
– Specialization in EE (like embedded systems) is possible, not to sure of dual degrees however.
-Largest Co-op program in Canada. Once you get acceptance, you are guaranteed CO-OP placements. It takes 5 years to get your degree but they claim that students make $50,000-$80,000 over their co-op terms and that would be great in order to pay for tuition and residence.
-Campus is not as attractive
As you can see, both universities sound great. I will apply for both and hopefully I could get some advice from you guys. Thanks so much!

I’m currently the class president of my school and I just thought it would be a good idea to have something a lot of the kids at my school like, ex. Vans to sponsor our class in stuff like events, t-shirts, sunglasses, etc. Please answer if your affiliate with the Vans Skate Brand. We’d love to hear from you guys.
Just additional information. We’re planning to have a giant water balloon contest to raise money for our class and maybe wondering if Vans was interested in sponsoring that event.

I mean, let’s say there are stock market investors. Is it a good idea for you guys to be constantly telling new people, won’t that saturate it? I don’t understand how people all over, on places like this can just tell others their methods. It doesn’t make sense, i’d keep it secret. Does the stock market experience saturation if too many investors join? I’m just wondering, I do not know.

i’ve been given an opportunity to do research with a neurosurgeon in a hospital affiliated with my school. Though i’m exited i’m nervous at the same time because he asked me to submit 3 contacts of references, my transcripts and a writing sample. I have no problem with submitting my transcripts but i have had no previous research experience, and i do not have any educational references that i can list. Unfortunately i do not yet know my professors on a level where they can write me a Reference. Also, i am not sure what is meant my a “writing sample”. does “writing sample” mean a research paper that i did, an essay on any topic or is it a CV of why i’m interested in the position (i’m really confused) I really want the position but i don’t know what to do now, could you give me some advise and clarity please. What I am looking for is a dropshipping service located in the European Union because I’ll be targeting customers within the EU. Now I’m not looking for a huge company that has a state of the art website, a live chat help maybe and loads of employees because the seller (me) will be paying for all that through increased prices. What I’m looking for is maybe a few names of very basic dropship services that I can buy from because the most important thing to me is being able to buy the items cheap, of course reliability is a plus too but that’s why I’m looking for recommendations.
So if anyone can name or link me to any websites within the EU that they know of, it would be much appreciated, also I haven’t specified a product category because although I have my preferences and some past experience telling me what may be best, I am open to whatever (any niche) that can make a good profit.
