Not sure there is much difference.
I find both medias are a good source for domestic & world news.
I read both.
Given that both groups can read, there is no difference. The difference lies in their politics. With Telegraph readership favouring the right, Guardian readership favouring the left. At least as I understand it. I don’t affiliate myself with either, as I buy and read the Independent, or its sister paper ” i “. Much more balanced than the two mentioned.
The Guardian is written for liberals, such as teachers, who think the state should interfere in every part of life to make society perfect, they think there is a bottomless pit of money to pay do-gooders to do what they want.
The Telegraph is business oriented and is written for people who think that their personal wealth is all that matters, the sort of people who are tax avoiders, that sort of stuff. It is a snobs paper.
The Guardian reader can actually use their brain.
I read everything in Scunthorpe library, including the Guardian. They don’t subscribe to the Sun,and the Mail is rarely unread so I have to read that online.I dont buy anything.
As members state, the Guardian (used to be the Manchester Guardian,a regional paper that went nationwide,I think in the 60s) is liberal left wing biased. As the name suggests it pursues “Human rights issues” The Telegraph is a slightly “posh” Tory paper similar to the Times, although the Times does swing to the left quite a bit nowadays.
The main difference is the name of the newspaper they choose to read.
