Why Is Yahoo So Bias Towards Assad?

Almost every news article and headline on Yahoo are fixated on the rebels in Syria and what they are doing. They never talk about or show demonstrators who support Assad. I find that Yahoo and many other American/Western media filter what’s really happening in Syria in order to paint the rebels as good guys . Don’t they know that many of the rebels are affiliated with al qaeda and other terrorist organizations. Don’t you think that if the Syrian people really wanted to overthrow Assad don’t you think they would have done so already along time ago. It’s already been a year! Syria has about 22,530,746 and 74% of the people are sunni compare to 13% who shia. That’s alot sunni muslims that could easily turn against and overthrow Assad and the shia minority who run the government in Syria. Many of people in Syria (including many sunni muslims) support Assad. In the past Christians and many other minorities lived peacefully in Syria because the Assad regime(which are secular) protected them from discrimination and preserved there rights. Even many of Assads officials were Christians. The Coptics in Egypt experience the same protection and tolerance from Hosni Mubarak before he was overthrown. Now the Coptics are sitting ducks for discrimination . I’m also afraid that the Christians and other minorities in Syria will also experience the same discrimination if Assad gets overthrown. I don’t get how replacing secular dictatorship with a barbaric, backward minded, ignorant, intolrable islamic regime is going to make things any better. I find nothing good came out of this “Arab Spring”. The only people who benefited from this “Arab Spring” were the barbaric, backward minded, ignorant, intolrable islamists who want to establish sharia law in these Arab countries. I find that the U.S government doesn’t really fro the Syrian people really want and are supporting the rebels for there own propaganda.
