I would like to know why piano and orchestral compositions are becoming more and more obsolete as new trash is being played on the radio. Is there a reason for the decline? Is it the new generation that can’t think past their Drake and One Direction nonsense that is ignoring music from Yanni, Enya, Ludovico Einaudi and Roberto Cacciapaglia and affiliated artists? Is it because today’s tweens, teens and young adults have not had a chance to be introduced to such wonderful and uplifting music or because they simply refuse to listen to anything other than the same, repetitive rubbish that every radio artist throws up after taking five minutes to write (or have someone else write for them)? I listen to what is popular right now, granted, most of it is stupid, but I also branch out into other genres. I would truly like to know your thoughts on this issue.

Why Is This Genre Of Music Getting Pushed Aside?

Hey, I’m always open to new things. I don’t ever really have a set genre I listen to 24/7. My favourite type of music is blues and classic rock n’roll, but I like all sorts.
BQ: I actually like Enya’s work (she’s the only one I’ve heard of out of these – I’ll listen to the rest).
BQ2: The Beatles.
BQ3: I’ll listen to the other three artists I haven’t heard of before, of course. Be right back…
EDIT: I don’t have a problem with instrumental music. All of them were really good, and I would like to see more of their work. I’m happy when I find something new every day, so thanks.
1. I have no idea why they are being pushed away. I generally like all types of music when it has a feel to it.

I think that the people of today have certain tastes in music but if you listen to every genre then you see that they all have something in common-it’s all beautiful in its own way.
