When I fill out college applications it always asks if you are affiliated with the military. I always said no, but now i’m starting to think I should choose civilian.

When I fill out college applications it always asks if you are affiliated with the military. I always said no, but now i’m starting to think I should choose civilian.
Civilian means you’re not in the military.
It means have YOU been in the military, since you haven’t you say no.
I would choose civilian if I were you, ‘affiliated with the military’ usually means civil service or military adviser
you were not in the military, so no.
The answer is ”NO”, you have ”NOT” served in the Military!!! Some applications, do ask if you have had family or a spouse that served in the Military. When, or if you receive an application such as this, you may mention that your father served in the Military.
