Would we expect to see physical characteristics unlike any other creatures? A different digestive system that doesn’t involve a kill and consume diet? How about supernatural abilities; if we were made by a supernatural being, wouldn’t we expect to see humans being able to do stuff that no other creatures can do? But we see nothing like this; all the observable evidence confirms that humans are just animals that have evolved unique physical characteristics and behavioral traits that enabled us to fill a niche, just like every other species of life on this planet, right?
there is one thing no other animal seems to have the ability to reason.
I’m an atheist, but John 1:1 makes a good point. There are certain things we can do that other creatures simply cannot.
We are already special beings unlike any other creature on earth, but I would argue that we are “special” in a similar way that so many mothers call their children “special” or “unique”, in that it is true in a sense, but everyone else is as special and unique as you.
No, there is no “observable evidence” to indicate that homo sapiens “are just animals” that have evolved. There is a substantial body of evidence to show the opposite. I have to point out that Christians do not know their own traditions, and do not understand the book they claim to be the basis for their religion – the Bible. In Genesis (2:21-22-23) is an indication that homo sapiens was genetically engineered, exactly as the ancient Sumerian and Mesopotamian texts say. From what i have heard, ancient remains of homo sapiens have been found at levels beneath those of homo erectus and neanderthal. According to evolutionary theory, this makes no sense. We, as the journalist Graham Hancock has said, are a species with amnesia. Worse yet we’re inclined to confabulate. We’ve invented all sorts of ideas about ourselves and treat them as if they’re the absolute truth. I’m not arguing against evolution, but it would appear that homo sapiens did appear on the scene rather suddenly — and i don’t know about “a different digestive system,” but “supernatural abilities” are already present within us. Those who are involved in the ancient practices of meditation and “pranayam” would know what I’m talking about here and would know that many have developed those abilities. But the greater majority have never investigated such things and it is quite unlikely that they ever will. Homo sapiens shares many physical characteristics with the other creatures on the planet, and clearly there are many humans who live like animals — but there are many who have risen far above them. Evolution was responsible for the lower forms of what eventually began to point in the human direction — but as i say, homo sapiens does seem to have appeared “suddenly” — too quickly to expect that evolution alone was responsible …
Man’s intellectual gifts are further seen in his ability to design things and then make them, to appreciate beauty, to compose glorious music, to paint pictures, to write, to count to large numbers and do mathematics, to control and use energy for his own benefit (e.g. fire, electricity, nuclear power), to organize, to reason, to make decisions, to be self-conscious, to laugh at himself, and to think abstractly.
All this behaviour is non-instinctive, as distinct from animal behaviour, and as such it is of unlimited variety.
Are you aware that humans have to develop their own Spiritual Selves into adulthood just like their physical selves. Perhaps you should consider How developed is your spiritual self and whether you can transcend into the spiritual realm and still keep your sanity.
Ýöú’re refering to ÏD? yes, Í’d agree with you. but our unique ability to reason is what seperates us apart from the RéŠt of the animal kingdom. It’s easy to se why some1 Would mistake that for us being “designed”.
half human / half lion / half eagle / half cow
another error in christian logic lol
