Donating While In Uniform?

I have looked all over for Navy Instructions regarding donating blood/ plasma or platelets while in uniform. Are we allowed to do such? Please only answer if you are military affiliated, don’t just guess. Thanks.

they have blood drives all the time on base, just look into it.
the only time it becomes an issue would be something like bone marrow [actually an op and you are out for a period of time]

I’ve seen blood drives on bases before, so I’m sure it’s not an issue…Why not just change into civies before going if you are this worried about it? Is it that important to look cool while giving blood?

I have watched Coast Guard Pilots in flight suits on the table. One female Officer was reading the label on a package of Oreo’s and declared them healthfood for high iron content. There was a Senior Chief and a PO3 there too. This was on a Coast Guard Base.
If you go to a off base fixed center in uniform it will need to be the uniform local commanders approve of for off base wear on personal time…..you will also need to be active duty. Reserve Sailors cannot wear the uniform unless they are in a paid status and on duty
