Federal Judge Halts Obama Birth-Control Mandate for Domino’s Pizza Founder

A federal judge has ordered a temporary halt on the Obama administration’s birth-control coverage policy for Tom Monaghan, the Catholic billionaire who founded Domino’s Pizza.
Federal District Court Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff issued the decision Sunday, less than two days before the policy would have taken effect and exposed Monaghan to fines for non-compliance.
“Plaintiff has shown that abiding by the mandate will substantially burden his exercise of religion,” Zatkoff wrote.
“The government has failed to satisfy its burden of showing that its actions were narrowly tailored to serve a compelling interest. … This factor weighs in favor of granting Plaintiffs’ motion.”
Monaghan recently filed suit against the policy, which requires most employers to cover a range of birth-control methods in their health plans. Churches and houses of worship are exempt, and employees of religiously affiliated institutions such as Catholic schools will be able to obtain birth control directly from their insurance company, also without a co-pay.

Hi, I’m 19 and I have about 400 dollars that I would like to invest. I’ve looked around online and I’ve found sites such as Etrade and Scottrade, both of which seem like good options for me. However, I’m not very well versed in this stuff and I’ve never dealt with stocks before, so I was wondering if there is a website you’d recommend that is best for beginners? Or one that is cheaper per trade (I think Etrade is $10.00 per trade and Scottrade is $7.00, though I could be wrong on how that works)? I think it’s pretty obvious that I don’t know much about this stuff, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I am a new trader however am very interested in new shows on the history channel such as mankind the story of all of us, as well as the men who build america. In my opinion these shows are ingenious and have a lot of potential, so with that being said my intentions are to purchase stock in whatever companies are producing these shows, or any type of affiliations, mergers, or acquisitions going on that are in one way or another affiliated with the creation of these shows. I guess what I am trying to say is that I want to invest in creating these type of shows, and more shows related to merging education and entertainment, and how can I do such a thing. Invest directly in the history channel? Which would be investing in Discovery Communications stock? Any opinions, experiences, or ideas are much appreciated.
