MSNBC host Rachel Maddow reports on how the Bush administration viewed the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as an opportunity to remove Saddam Hussein from power in part one of Hubris. In addition to watching the full documentary, you can read more about the Bush administration’s marketing of a war they had already decided to wage; take a look at Rumsfeld’s secret documents; and read an interview with the co-author of “Hubris”: he talks about torture, secrets, and what we still don’t know.
It’s a damn shame how those criminals dragged us down, lying each step of the way.
Kudos to Rachel, she’s my fave.
I never watch MSNBC. I don’t know how they stay on the air. Obama I guess. He had all the commentators from MSNBC come to the WH to tell them what to say about the tax hikes.
Selling the war to the public was the hard part but most of the representatives of both parties viewed Saddam Hussein as a serious threat to the world for at least 15 years. I’m sure they didn’t mention what Clinton’s administration did to Iraq and I seriously doubt you remember that. Hussein killed 100,000 people, Iranians and Kurds, with mustard gas, a WMD. There was support for the war until Wilson said Hussein was not buying yellow cake from Niger. I wasn’t aware anyone ever said he was.
I did not favor the war in Iraq but you should be aware that there were still sanctions on Iraq so severe that 500,000 children and elderly died from starvation and lack of medicine. I seriously doubt MSNBC told the whole story. They are a propaganda machine, not a source of real information.
“… the most watched documentary on MSNBC in the last decade.”
LO, how many documentaries does MSNBC show? I’ve never seen one.
I watched it and think Rachel did an excellent job presenting proof. I wish all Americans could see it.
yes i saw it, it confirmed everything we knew all along. it was very well done.
It was very well done.
It is a shame NBC probably doesn’t have the guts to air it on their station though!
***SPOILER ALERT***
na, i missed it, tell me all about it….!
Yes . I agree , very well done .
No
MSNBC is BLOCKED on ALL my TV’s… I wont listen to their lies and distortions. If i want news i will listen to any other station. I don’t need to listen to a group of so called reporters or analysts that have been fired from every other station because of distorting or down right lies.
i would rather watch
