You need to know your market – who your customer/client is and cultivate your product to their best use.
Also have a business plan. How much money are you willing to outlay for setting up your ‘operation/plant/office’ ? Choose the best quality suppliers you can afford, develop a good rapport with your suppliers and with your customers. Choose the location for your business well – for example it is not a good idea for a new chef to open a four star restaurant in a business district – chose a good yet less expensive entertainment precinct at first. Then once you have built up your clientele, move a to a more prestigious entertainment district or open another restaurant under your ‘brand’. Choose new staff wisely, if meeting the public, like you, they need to be well groomed and have pleasant manners and demeanour.
Be of good moral fortitude so that your staff will look up to you and want to be like you and work their best for you.
the secret is the know how to amke a business run. the people needed to hire, the location, and the name the suits the business well. for instance you wouldn’t call a hot dog joint “toys’r’us” would you?

No one answer.
Some are in the right place at the right time.
others are just hard workers.
some are smart thinkers.
The one common denominator is they are all reasonably efficient, some more efficent than others, but efficiency creates wealth.
