My wife forgot her password and security question at least they say she did. Now some tech guy that works for Yahoo (at least he says he does) named Dominick wants to charge her 150.00 to fix it. We have been trying to get in touch with help for days via phone to no avail. Yahoo customer service is the pitts.
Hello,
I’m sorry that you are having trouble with accessing an account (see below) but PLEASE NOTE: Support from Yahoo! Inc. is always free of charge. Certain companies not affiliated with us may pretend to represent Yahoo! Inc. and try to offer support for Yahoo! services for a fee. If you have already paid a company, you are encouraged to contact your financial institution for next steps. See the following Help Article for more details: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en…
As part of the Yahoo! Terms of Service, we ask that you provide valid registration information and keep that info current. If you don’t remember the security information on your account, please contact our customer support team for help with this form:http://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?l…
Please select Yahoo! Accounts as the product, suspicious activity as the category, and received security warning prompt as the subcategory. Fill out the form completely: if you don’t know your Security Questions and Answers, say “I don’t know”. Completing the form will give you a “Thank you” page with an incident support number. You should also receive that incident number in an email auto-response to your account and any alternate email account. Our Customer Care team will respond as quickly as they can.
Hope that is helpful,
aw
