These cons are so foolish, they damn well that their grandparents used to vote Democratic but once the civil rights act passed they went to the republican party.
From your link;
“On Monday, Rep. Ted Poe took to the House floor to discuss foreign policy matters. To make a point, the Texas Republican invoked the words of Civil War Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest: “Git thar fustest with the mostest.”
The quotation got some floor watchers’ attention pretty quickly. Forrest is a controversial figure who was one of the Klan’s first grand wizards. Although the Civil War hero (if you were a Confederate, that is) ultimately abandoned the Klan for its violent tactics, he continues to kick up dust”
Oh horror of horrors
Funny how little attention is given to the context the quote was made, just that is was a quote from a “controversial figure” But regardless the right has never elected a Klan member to congress as the left did for years, the right has never had a sitting president calling Blacks in the US nnig gers, the right has never had a sitting congressman praise a Black man for not speaking in ne gro dialect, no former Republican president has ever denigrated a sitting president by saying “he’d have been serving me coffee a few years ago”
Seems like you do not have a hell of a lot of room to talk with all the baggage you are carrying!
When LBJ, signing into law, the Civil Rights act, in the early 1960’s… Prier to that, most blacks, actually voted Republican, the party of Lincoln… Martin Luther King, Jr., was actually a life long Republican… Ronald Reagan, left the Democrat party, because of the Civil Rights act, being signed.. A ton of old southern Democrats, & Dixiecrat’s, did as well….. When Reagan became President, Reagan brought with him, what was left, of the old southern Democrats, & Dixiecrat’s… In the 1980’s, called Reagan Democrats…. That pretty much, making the party’s, trade places completely…. The once Democrat south, turned Republican… The once Republican Lincoln north, turned Democrat… The once called, old southern Democrats, & Dixiecrat’s, never was a very nice group of people… Always wanting slaves, or some type of slave labor… They’ve hung on to that, even after they become Republicans… But to hear them talk, they claim, the Lincoln history.. While their base, is the southern states, & some “now”,,, southern Republicans… Call it northern aggression…
Did someone quote the Democrat Senator Robert Byrd?http://dailycaller.com/2010/06/28/sen-ro…
My example is better because you had to go back to the civil war to make some sort of connect. Did you realize he was quoting a Democrat?
In their defence dems were also in kkk. However I don’t see dems today hanging empty chairs in their tree out front in grand haven mi. It is more of a generation thing and a couple of their darilic daddy’s boy kids.

Wasn’t Robert Byrd a recent member of the KKK? He was a democrat. So by you logic democrats are kkk members. Actually the kkk was mostly democrats.
After hearing you guys say 90% of people approve of background checks that already exist. I’ll pass with your “accurate” sources.
A southerner quotes a confederate general and you think that means they are in the KKK? Do you even listen to yourself?
Racism has very deep roots in Southern/rural American culture, and they have a very hard time really letting it go.
I would leave this kind of irrelevance to the republicans; they do it so much better.
I already know they are lies without looking.
“I’ll have those ******* voting Democratic for the next 200 years”

I have two words for you; Robert Byrd.
