So i am 22 years old and just getting started in the acting industry. I have an agent. She had me come do a cold read for her, when I took my brother in to audition. She pulled me aside and asked if I ever thought about acting. I said not really because it doesn’t look like somewhere I would belong. She told me I need to look into it, and that I have a natural look, and natural energy.. so I went in a room and did a cold read for her. She asked me right after if she could sign me with her agency. I thought about it over night, and decided that a long time ago as a child it was a dream of mine. I thew it away after realizing that in this industry it seems so many people are slutty, crazy, or extremely narcassistic.
I told her this the next day where she said we need more healthy role models in society for examples, and as a refresher. As i agreed with her I signed, and have been training/working on different projects.
The question I have is…
Do those of you with experience, or just by your belief in general feel that I could be successful. I am a virgin, conservative ( not a prude),I am mormon but I am loving and accepting of all religions and people affiliated with them.
I won’t do rated R movies or sex scenes. Basically, my options will be limited for sure. Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on who I am as a person, and the industry. \
Do you guys think I would have individuals want to work with me/ follow my work in different show, ect..?
And one last thing. Do you guys feel holly wood needs more clean people? I”m for sure not Kim K, or anything like it. Not that she is a bad person, but I have different beliefs.
Any help/advice would help. Thank you sooooo much!!

I’m 16 and attempting to start an acting career in Ohio (don’t tell me to move to LA – i’m with an agency and there is at least a small market in every city) – anyways, i’ve found a couple great auditions from actingmidwest.com, where directors post the specifics of their films or commercials they want to cast and leave an email to contact them through. (if you live in the midwest, check it out, it’s a great source!)
I found 2 great possibilities that would work for my age – one a low budget SAG! I emailed the email they gave with my headshots and resume and received no response.
One of these was posted about a week ago and said this:
“Casting session will be November 22, 2011, so respond promptly. Online casting will be available for those 50 miles outside of Cincinnati, Ohio”
I responded the day of, and still have not recieved a response for it. Today is November 21.
The other, the SAG, said that some of the actors would need training in combat. I can’t quite explain it, so this is what they said:
“Kino 13- One of 13 fighters that protect the treasure. We are looking for looks and fighting skills/athletic ability. 11 roles open. Your audition will consist of you in your unique wardrobe, in character, then performing martial arts, gymnastics, athletic moves. NO DIALOGUE, JUST CHARACTER expressions and movement. By the way: If you do not understand the difference between on screen and real combat, DO NOT SUBMIT! We have no time for seeing who is the “best fighter ion the world” on our set! This is a MOVIE not a tournament! Here is the film description of the Kino 13, think of them as X-Men type characters, but not with super powers, other than those described.
Description: The Red Rock Project. A secret operation using the paranormal abilities of the worlds thirteen deadliest psychic, psychotic killers. Named The Kino Thirteen, they are Individuals with super senses, advanced fighting skills and sociopaths tendencies. Psychic vampires, steroid infused combat troops.
Jakob Flint’s kids-(1) Male, teen age ***(1)Female-teen age***. The unlucky children of the film’s star, Jakob Flint. They are held hostage by Vanzetti and his men and meet a quick demise, Mafia style. Ages: 13-17, Caucasian. No dialog. For these auditions, the teen agers in question need to do a monologue of their choice from any movie featuring an emotional range for a teen ager. This monologue must run no longer than 3 minutes. There are no lines in the film, but ACTING talent through emoting is ESSENTIAL!”
Because of the way they spaced it on the page, I can’t tell if they meant that even Jakob Flint’s daughter needs combat training, so I emailed to clarify and also sent my other information. Did I ruin it by doing this?
Sorry if that was confusing, and if you skipped to here, basically I sent in a request to audition for 2 films that I would reallllly like to do, but recieved no response. I don’t want to be annoying and submit again (I wouldn’t do that) but I don’t know how to not let this opportunity slip from my fingers!! Help!

Does anybody know the producers, casting directors, or HBO affiliates for the show game of thrones?
My name is Thomas Carney,I’m a British-American aspiring actor and a
huge Game of Thrones fans! I’ve been wanting to start an acting career
for some time, and watching the GoT series finally convinced me to get
started. I’d absolutely love being on in future seasons, even as an
extra- I couldn’t imagine a better beginning!
Does anyone know of anyway to contact producers, agents or casting
directors? I know I probably don’t have much time, and I’d be willing
to do really anything.
I’ve just turned 19 years old, I’m about 6’3, gold/brown hair, blue
eyes, lifelong athlete and musician. I’m a dual citizen of the United
States and United Kingdom by birth, so I can work anywhere.
Honestly, I feel prepared to take a lead role starting tomorrow- I
absolutely KNOW I’d nail any role offered. I don’t care if it’s an
extra in one scene, or the new protagonist (or antagonist!)
I PROMISE I’ll stand out and make HBO rich- just give me that chance!
I just feel this incredible rush of energy, like there’s nothing else
in the world I see myself doing. I just can’t fathom how anyone could
experience “stage fright” or nervousness- I’ve never felt more
comfortable than the times I . Perhaps that sounds a little
egotistical, but I promise it’s not…or actually, perhaps I AM a little
egotistical- I truly do believe I could walk on tomorrow and take a
starring role- but if I DIDN’T feel that way, if anyone didn’t feel
that way, could you honestly see them able to do so? It’s like a
musician onstage during a concert- how can they give an amazing show
if they expect to sound anything other than amazing?
I actually do have a bit of acting, performance and modeling
experience, but I believe my most important experience is rather
unconventional. When I was 16 I was going to do an internship with the
National Clandestine service of the CIA- basically the espionage
division. Although I decided not to do it, I spent months practicing
different identities, characters, mannerisms, traits, voices, etc-
useful skills for an undercover, AND for an actor. My friends were
also amazed and would always (and still do) tell me I’d be perfect for
movies.
When I think of a portraying a character and saying a line, I don’t
ask myself if it’s happy, sad, or angry. Instead I ask myself- “Does
he really mean this?” “Does this reflect his past?” “Does this signify
a source of pride or shame?” “Is he being honest?” “What’s his
motivation for saying such?” “What can you learn from him in this
line?” It’s no different than the life I’ve always had, and as Keith
Richard says- you can always answer the question “what are you doing”
with two simple words- “Just living”, and that’s exactly how I see
acting. I’ve had a lifetime’s experience of playing roles, meeting
characters, conveying expressions and feelings and thoughts, assuming
identities and wearing masks. I’ve never really understood the concept
of acting school- isn’t every moment of your life like attending the
world’s best acting school?
But anyway, there really isn’t much I wouldn’t do- so please, if
anyone has any information, let me know!
My email is Thomasfrancis117@gmail.com
Thank you very much!
Thomas Carney
