I recently wrote a how-to book that has a niche market – but quite a large niche market – that is untapped. I grew up in Minnesota and am currently living in Iowa, and am looking for someone willing to take this project on – but with the resources I’ve looked at I am having trouble finding a literary agent that will take on my book. I appreciate any help anybody can offer me! I am not sure if I am being naive in thinking it will help, but I feel having a “midwest connection” with a literary agent and/or publisher could/would help my cause. Thanks!

I’ve been trying to follow the 9/11 conspiracy theorists insisting that a large number of “put” options on the airline industry shortly before the 9/11 attack indicates foreknowledge of a conspiracy. I want to make sure I understand what they’re saying before deciding whether they have a legitimate claim or whether they’re a bunch of crackpots. Just HOW would any put option work in this supposed conspiracy? I know a “put” option is a contract to buy a stock at a given fixed price between one side who believes the stock price will go up and another side who thinks it will go down, but I can’t for the life of me see how it can be a factor in these 9/11 conspiracies.
Let’s say secret agent X wants to make a quick buck off a 9/11 attack he knows is coming, so he place a put option to buy stock at, say, $40 per share. Secret agent X then stages the 9/11 attack and the airline stock drops to $30 a share, meaning that when he invokes his put option, secret agent X will be paying $40 for a $30 stock. Secret agent X is *losing* $10 per share. Who in his right mind would stage a conspiracy to lose money?
The only way I can see how this would work is if some other unknown buyer had a put option with secret agent X, rather than the airline industry. The put option with secret agent X is for $40 per share, and then secret agent X stages the 9/11 attack and the stock drops to $30 per share. Secret agent X can now buy stock from the stock market at $30 per share and force the other buyer to pay $40 per share for a $10 profit…but this is completely different from their “put options on the airline industry” claim and it would means someone out there was ripped off by secret agent X and I can’t say they’d remain quiet about it. The only other way would be for the airline industry to write a put option for someone else and stage the attack on themselves, but staging an attack that creates a long term loss for the benefit of a short term gain is just plain absurd on so many levels.
Either these conspiracy theorists are entirely clueless on how put options work, or I’m entirely clueless on how put options work. So, I’ll let you settle it: how DO put options work?

In a new video report available below, Liberty News Network national correspondent and border-issues expert Andy Ramirez offers explosive details about the recent murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry by border bandits.
Among the revelations discussed by Ramirez is the news that border agents were forced to first use non-lethal weapons against the heavily armed criminals. Citing sources, Ramirez said the orders must have originated with disgraced former Tucson-area Border Patrol boss Victor Manjarrez and his superiors.
“Why would you send them out with non-lethal loads? … Why did we have to lose another agent in the line of duty?” Ramirez wondered.
He also attacked government arrest figures and the notion that the DREAM Act, a bill to allow the children of illegal immigrants to stay in the United States, would help tighten border security. “It’s a lie,” Ramirez said. “And sadly, we have lost another agent in the line of duty as a result of these continued lies.”
Another topic mentioned in the video report is the issuance of cards to Border Patrol agents with instructions “to hide,” as Ramirez put it, in the event of an encounter with Mexican military personnel on the U.S. side of the border. “And by the way, one of the allegations in this case — in the murder of agent Terry — is that there were Mexican military personnel among the [attacking] individuals,” Ramirez said. Anonymous sources inside the Border Patrol also told Ramirez “the word” is that Agent Terry was in pretty bad shape due to his gunshot wounds. However, reports he cited indicated that the alien got the first med-evac out while Agent Terry was moved by vehicle initially to a second location where he was then med-evac’d out, too.
Additionally, those same sources report that top Border Patrol management in Tucson Sector, as well as in Washington, D.C., at headquarters, have issued a gag order on all agents. Ramirez also reported that his sources claim agents will be fired if they are caught talking about the facts surrounding Terry’s murder. He says this is a common tactic that has gone on at the Border Patrol under David Aguilar for years, as well as at Customs.
Agents, retired and active duty alike, are very angry about the events surrounding agent Terry’s murder and the alleged cover up. Ramirez said they are providing information to ensure the truth does get out to the American people.

I’m really confused about my relationship with this woman. I’m a 42 year old man who had a rough upbringing. I’ve been to jail twice. After I got out 14 years ago, I found a niche as an agent for struggling actresses through my connections in both businesses and the underworld. A lot of them are doing drugs. I got mad and said “you’re a f*king mangled mess. Just absolutely too f*king ugly to ever make any kind of money off this whole showing ur t*tts thing. Soon ur gonna be desperate enough to start chugging c*kk juice on camera to try to make ends meet. It’s just a matter of time before I see video of ur sh*ttpipe being stretched and gaped by a massive c*kk for a few hundred dollars and another hit of meth.”
She started to cry and I softened up. I made a profile for her on modelmayhem and suggested that she should do some adult modelling first, a few months later I got her into doing hardcore. She has all sorts of emotional problems and is very vulnerable. She’s also addicted to antidepressants and prescription drugs. But I actually feel sorry for her and genuinely care about her. I even let her move in to my place last month because she’s broke and lonely.
Recently I began to get jealous when I’m on set watching her perform and banned her from escorting altogether. It’s something I never felt toward any of the other girls.
