Have Muslims Ever Thought Of Having A Day Of Prayer Like Ghandi Did In India?

When India was occupied by the British, Ghandi declared one day to be a day of prayer where no single Indian went to work, or did anything but prayed. I am wondering if any Imams or Muslims in America, or anywhere else for that matter, have considered something like this, to show the importance of Muslims and how it would impact everyone if they closed up their shops, did not go to school, nor went to work for one day? Thanks for reading, sorry it’s so long!
Btw, I am a non-Muslim American, and not affiliated with any religion.
Please, no hateful answers.
Peace and salaam.

Where Can I Find A Presidential Elections Table?

At what website can I find a presidential elections table that list all of the Presidents from Washington to Obama ( and who they ran against), list the party they were affiliated with, how many popular votes each had, percentage of the popular vote, electoral vote, and the percentage of voter participation?
I’m looking for a table similar ( or identical) to the one in the appendix of the text book called “The American Promise: A Compact History Volume 1 to 1877”

Do You Think Religion Is Fading Not Only Around The World, But In America Too?

the American Physical Society –
The team took census data stretching back as far as a century from countries in which the census queried religious affiliation: Australia, Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland.
“in a large number of modern secular democracies, there’s been a trend that folk are identifying themselves as non-affiliated with religion; in the Netherlands the number was 40%, and the highest we saw was in the Czech Republic, where the number was 60%.”
A recent poll showed that only 14 percent of Canadians think that God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years.
I don’t think America is becoming more religious. As a college student who knows many people across this country at institutions of higher education, most of them don’t believe in a god. As these younger generations grow up and make it into political office, religion will decline in civilized areas even more. I guarantee I’ll see the first president of this country who puts agnostic (or hopefully atheist) as their religious belief rather than Christian.
According to a 2007 Pew poll, the number of “non-affiliated” Americans was 16.1%, up from 8% just one decade before. This number is nearly 25% in the under 25 age group. And 55% of those who self-identify as “atheists” are under 35. So yes, the trend is that America is getting less religious and more and more young people in particular are turning away from religion.

Most Efficient Way To Learn (latin American) Spanish?

I have Rosetta Stone, but I’m a bit irritated with it because it offers NO grammar explanations or reasoning for sentence constructions. It’s also extremely dull and easy to choose the correct answer even if you don’t quite understand what it is you’re choosing.
What are some good (preferably FREE) alternatives?
I already learned one language through textbooks and SRS (Anki), so I would like to go about Spanish a bit differently. I want it to be a little more fun. For example, it would be great if there were a variety of activities/drills/worksheets/games/etc.
Please don’t respond with affiliate links to poor programs. Remember, I am looking for something free if possible.
Thanks.
