CNN’s recent interview with Ahmed Abu Khattala, who Libyan and U.S. officials have described as the Benghazi leader of the al Qaeda-affiliated militia group Ansar al-Sharia — one of many groups that filled the vacuum of authority following the overthrow of Moammar Gadhafi.
He has been described as a “person of interest” in the investigation, according to officials.
In that interview, Khattala told CNN’s Arwa Damon that he had not been contacted by any Libyan or American officials.
“Even the investigative team did not try to contact me,” he told Damon, referring to the FBI.
When asked whether he would be willing to meet with investigators if they asked, Khattala said: “Yes, no problem. …But not as an interrogation, as a conversation like the one we are having right now.”

First they said Hillary Clinton couldn’t send extra security to Benghazi because of republican budget cuts. Now they are saying no request for extra security was ever made. Well it can’t be both.
So which story are they going with today?

Soon after the terrorist attack that left four Americans dead in Libya, reports began coming in that U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was not only murdered by the Muslim mob, but also sodomized both before and after his death, and his corpse dragged through the streets.
Sexual abuse and degradation is a common tactic used against non-Muslims, as the repeatedly raped. In fact, the photos of Ambassador Stevens stripped of clothes, bloodied and tortured right before he was killed very much resemble the photos of Gaddafi right before he was killed. One U.S.-supported “freedom-fighter,” can be seen sodomizing Gadaffi with a rod as others dragged him along.

Everyone seems to focus on the lies. And yes, they are problematic, but the bigger issue for me is those deaths should never have happened.

The administration’s behavior before and during the attack in Benghazi, in which four Americans died, was unworthy of the greatest power on earth.
President Obama knew he was sending diplomats and their protectors into a country that was no longer a country, a land rife with fighters affiliated with Al Qaeda.
Yet in this hottest of hot spots, the State Department’s minimum security requirements were not met, requests for more security were rejected, and contingency plans were not drawn up, despite the portentous date of 9/11 and cascading warnings from the C.I.Ahttp://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/12/opinio…
There is simply no excuse for a country with our capabilities to leave people undefended in an area you KNOW is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Think of it, Maureen Dowd and Dick Cheney are in 100% agreement on this.
Let that sink in. ALL OF US should be pissed about that.
