I promote online games where players make real cash deposits and can win real money. Each player is eligible for a bonus comp on their deposit. Meaning, if Player A deposits $100 they receive a $100 bonus.
If Player A loses, then they lose not only their deposit but also the bonus.
At the end of the month these bonuses are deducted from the Gross Gaming Revenue of that month. However, I don’t see how each bonus can be deducted if the player loses this back to the house.
If Player A receives a $100 bonus but loses the bonus, then the house is neither ahead $100 or lost $100, they are in fact even.
If Player A wins and makes a withdrawal then yes the house is out the $100 bonus. Then and only then can the house deduct this loss of $100 bonus from the Gross Gaming Revenue and of course any winnings cashed out by Player A.
However, and maybe I’ve got this wrong, but how can a $100 bonus be given, then lost, effectively being returned to the house and then being deducted? That doesn’t make sense.
It’s similar to me lending a friend $100. At that point I’d be out $100. However my friend returns the $100 and I’m back to square. I’m neither out nor ahead, I’m square again.
My question, given what I’ve tried to explain above, does this make sense, or am I being diddled on bonuses being deducted when they should not be deducted at all?

We will be announcing our new graphic novel project next week, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on which press release distribution service I should use. I am really looking for a service that can hit our target industry markets (Entertainment and Publishing/Book), the local markets of our creators (metro Detroit and UK), and niche markets like comic books and sci-fi.
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

So here’s the deal…I ordered a book via Alibris.com, never got it. Called their customer Support, they do not call back (by the way, the back door number to actually get a person is (510)594-4500 press zero and just talk to Allison!) left messages, they never returned call or email. Found out that I bought the book from the bookdepository, com which is really located in the UK not California! Had to call them directly they were kind enough to actually help me! So this is more of a statement than anything, if you need a book, call the bookdepository at 011-44-014-5230-7905 and advoid Alibris! Their Customer Service Sucks, and they ripped me off big time! But bookdepository refunded me the amount they got paid…and provided proof what what they recieved! Alibris sucks! Oh yeah, and they are affiliated with Borders Books according to their message? Checked into that, not really-kind of a lie! Borders claims that if you choose to purchase a used book, they refer the individual to Alibris website, so I’m now starting to wonder if Border’s is in the scam business as well? Anyone who has ever had to use Alibris I invite you to share your opinion.

Does it specialize in new or used books? Does it emphasize particular subject areas? What does it do to carve out its own niche among the chains and on-line businesses?
