I used to be able to check a box, then holding down the shift (or was it control?), check another box and it would automatically select all the emails in between. How is this done on the “new” Yahoo?

I received a check a few days ago that had my name on it. The check was from
Connecticut General Life Insurance Company Cigna. It had about 2,800 written on it. I never was affiliated with any type of insurance company or nothing. Also, they had paid 5.70 in shipping it to me. Someone did this and wanted me to wire the money over seas to a charity. I deposited it with concern…the bank is now holding it for 7 days…so is it a real check or false? Also, the person that sent me this was in Texas and I live in Alabama.

Ok, so the problem is that I consider myself only hispanic and none of the other racial groups. I am not european. I am not african. I know I’m not asian. I’m not from the islands either. I’m not affiliated with any native american tribes. So what the heck am I supposed to answer?

My friends and I frequent a restaurant on my college campus. When we arrive, we drop all of our jackets and book-bags in some closets at the front of the restaurant before going in (at the request of the restaurant) so that we don’t have to put them on the floor under the tables and also, in part, to ensure that we are not bringing alcohol into the restaurant. We have always complied with this policy, because the restaurant asked us to. However, I recently found out from one of the restaurant’s former employees that the general manager would frequently ask restaurant staff to search through our bags while they were in those closets. I have never seen a sign posted in the restaurant indicating that this is policy.
I realize there are various moral and ethical implications at play, but is this legal? For what it’s worth, we are in the state of Connecticut, and the restaurant is an independent restaurant (not affiliated with our University).
