What Do You Think About America Becoming Less Religious?

I don’t think America is becoming more religious. As a college student who knows many people across this country at institutions of higher education, most of them don’t believe in a god. As these younger generations grow up and make it into political office, religion will decline in civilized areas even more. I guarantee I’ll see the first president of this country who puts agnostic (or hopefully atheist) as their religious belief rather than Christian.
According to a 2007 Pew poll, the number of “non-affiliated” Americans was 16.1%, up from 8% just one decade before. This number is nearly 25% in the under 25 age group. And 55% of those who self-identify as “atheists” are under 35. So yes, the trend is that America is getting less religious and more and more young people in particular are turning away from religion.
Which is why the christian reich is turning up the volume and getting in every religious government law they can before they lose powerhttp://newsfeed.time.com/2011/03/23/stud…

Will I Ever Make Friends? Help!?

So I’ve been in a relationship technically for 4 years. Two years with a real jerk starting at age 15, then another two years with a great guy starting at 17 and lasting until a few weeks ago at age 19. Most of our relationship was long distance (2hrs) because we go to different universities. So the only new “friend” I made at college was my roommate. We were both always gone on the weekends seeing our boyfriends and weren’t very social because we both didn’t need to be at the time. Bf’s were our life.
Well my most recent Ex thought it would be best to break up because I was the only girlfriend he had ever had and so I don’t really blame him. The sucky part is that we still care for each other and didn’t end on bad terms.
ANYWAYS, HERE IS THE QUESTION:
I feel like a new student at my University because I don’t know anyone, and it’s the end of the school year pretty much. I am a sophomore and will be a junior next fall. I have like one or two close friends from High school who I can confide in for now, but will it be hard to find a group of girlfriends to hang out with? I am getting anxious and nervous about my future now and if I will be a loner for the rest of my life. Did anyone transfer from a Comm. College to a University and feel the same way? I feel like everyone already has their niche that they built during freshman year in the dorms.

Help With Starting A Business In Any Niche (legal Requirements)?

Hello,
I am a 16 year old male looking into starting my own business, preferably clothing ranges. I have already got research done for products i.e. T-shirts and designs and have seen several suitable companies which will print my products, however i am slightly stumped when it comes down to the legal sides of things. I am still in school (Will be leaving in 12 days) and currently studying business and hopefully in college too.
The main question i would like to ask is how old do i have to be to set up a business in the clothing market? How would i set up my bank accounts, as i do not know if i am old enough? I know about book keeping, account keeping etc as i learnt it in my spare time, i just have no idea on some legal requirements.
If anyone can answer them questions and perhaps add more legal requirements if you know of any (Uk citizen) i would appretiate it alot! Thankyou for your time!

Should I Apply For In-school Deferment?

Here’s my situation…
I am taking courses at a community college for an RN program with an affiliated school of nursing
I have one more semester of regular classes before I can start my clinical/nursing courses…
Until now I have received a full pell grant due to my parents lack of income. But now I file as independent, and I only qualify for $450 per semester. I want to pay this last semester out of pocket and save taking out loans for once I get to the Nursing school it’s self.
I currently have 3 loans from a previous school out threw sallie mae for around $6500 all together and I am making the minimum monthly payments. I don’t want to stop paying them as I want to pay them off as soon as possible but I also want to save money….
sooo do you think I should apply for in school deferment and just pay the interest or just I just keep it as it is….
would I technically save money in the long run if I apply for deferment and make payments anyway or does it even matter>
any advice helps thanks!

Okay Finnish Product In Which I Must Send Out Today…i Would Love For You To Read?best Opinion Best Answer?

Mahatma Gandhi once stated ,”Live life as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you will live forever.” These word have greatly shaped my aptitude for learning, and helping others. During my life, I have engaged in activities such as volunteering in the childcare, and education field. These things have greatly humbled me and giving me a clearer direction for the future. I would like to be apart of the Ag-Discovery Program because it would open doors to new opportunities to grow, learn, and be involved in agricultural activities. It would give me a chance to explore the benefits of attending college, to expand knowledge, and grow as a person.
There are several of things that I would love to gain knowledge about, one in which I am highly intrigued with is Ecological studies. I would like to gain more knowledge about the broad impact we as humans have on the earth. Environmental factors plays an important role in our lives today, and learning about the smallest sector in the environment can make a more prodigious difference. Being apart of the Ag-Discover will help me gain a new perspective and growth on life. I would like to learn about multiple ways in which a person can use plants in order to cure diseases; in what ways can we help cure plants.
My future goals after high school are to attend college and double major in Ecology, and English. These are both passions of mine that I plan on perusing throughout my career. Ecology is something I feel as I can make a difference in by preserving the earth, and its natural resources. Ecologist all over the globe have been making discoveris in society, these people I idol. The people who can witness things pass the earths’ , flowers, trees, and clouds. The people who can look at the whole picture, those who can see how everything in nature flows according well, in order to maintain its beauty. English on the other hand is my niche that I have found a good outlet to express myself. English is an opportunity to reach people, it is life. Without words, and the earth I would not belong, These are the main things that have shaped me to be who I am. A future ecologist, and a present humanist
. After earning Bachelors’ degree in each of those subjects, I would like to further expand my education and earn my masters degree. I would like to teach as an Professor in Ecology or English , and perhaps become a science writer.
I have several of hobbies and interest. I love to read, my favorite book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. A narrative written my Betty Smith, a women who I believe has the most interesting aspect on life, writing about themes such as class, poverty, education, perseverance through hardship and more. I also love reading poetry, most importantly poetry written by Emily Dickinson. I garden in my backyard from spring until the winter. love to relax , and witness nature. Sometimes the best thing to do is enjoy nature look beyond what is normal to the eye. I love to explore and determine how new concepts fit into existing theories. I am also interested in behavior analysis, the human mind interest me. I play the acoustic guitar, and flute. With the several tings a person is capable of. In addition, I have remained active debate club, and photography club at my school, I strive to continue being active.
Question I was supposed to cover:
Why do you want to be apart of this program?
What do you want to learn?
What are your future goals?
What are some of your hobbies and intrest?
My questions:
What can I do to make it better?
Is it good to hand in today?

Which School Should I Choose?

So far I have gotten into;
Umass Amherst-undeclared- I am a resident so it will be 9,500 for tuition before room and board and other cost’s but I did not get into the nursing program which I had applied for and I guess it is near impossible to switch into during your attendance.
University of New Hampshire-going to be about 21,000 tuition before other cost’s. Did not get into the occupational therapy program/nursing but is easier to switch into than umass
West Virginia University-going to be about 17,000 before other cost’s but I received 13,000 for the four years to go there (about 3,250 per year off)- Accepted into a Pre-Occupational Therapy Program that prepares you to enter Occupational Therapy major your sophomore year.
University of Rhode Island- 27,000 a year before costs- Did not get accepted into a program.
Endicott College- 26,000 before costs- all students apply to programs like nursing sophomore year so there is still a chance I get in.
I believe most of my Financial aid is about a little more or less 6,000$ in fed loans and about 6,000 in fed grants.
Still waiting to hear from Ole Miss and University of Arizona. And doubtfully waiting to see if I get into UVM and UCONN off their wait-lists. (Pretty much positive I will not). Also still waiting to hear back from scholarships and local scholarships. I won’t get a ton but I may get a few local ones affiliated with my town and what not for various reasons.
So if you have a little time to read this information over I would be beyond appreciative for your in-put on which college I should choose mainly based on which one I could succeed from under the given cicumstances (programs/money/etc.) but also if you know anything about the actual college socially, academically, culturally etc. Thanks for taking the time to help and I will answer any of you guy’s questions if you’de like. Again thank you I only ask because my parents know nothing about colleges and I know absolutely nothing!
Still Waiting on Ole Miss and University of Arizona
