I am studying 3rd year B Tech in Computer Sciences in a JNTU affiliated college in Hyderabad. I have an aggregate, a little less than an 80. I have decided to go for higher studies and preferably MS…. So now, which is the best place(I mean country) to do MS…
And, how much might it cost…. Will there be anything like scholarships….. One of my friends told me that in Germany we can get 100% scholarships….. Is that true or just a fake rumor……
Even a little help is appreciated a lot….. Thanks…….

I am writing an english essay for college. It on “This I Believe” between 300-500 words, i am really really nervous about turning it in, can you read this and tell me what you think. Please. any critiques would be helpful.
When asked to write about what I believe, I’ll be honest, I drew a blank. It seemed like such a simple question. But it had to be something that I abide by everyday; it had to be something that filled every niche in my life. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t have been an adequate answer, not for this essay, and not for myself. I sat awake the night before this was due and thought to myself ‘what do I believe?’
I thought about my dad; he tries so hard to provide for our family, and we don’t always have an excess, but we have enough. One day he came home from work, kicked off his work boots, and peeled his sweat soaked tank-top off. I asked him why he worked so hard when he could get any number of jobs that pay the same for half the work. He laughed and said “Because I enjoy it; it makes me happy,” he said it as if he wondered why anyone would do anything but the thing that makes them happy.
It got me thinking that in order to be happy in life you have to do the thing that is true to yourself. That doesn’t just mean what you do for a living; it means everything from how you dress, to your morals and beliefs. You can be a long-haired hippy who loves to smoke grass, or a clean-cut businessman with never a hair out of place. It doesn’t matter. Too many people go through life with a preconceived notion in their head that they have to do what society expects of them, it is drilled in from birth. Do this, or don’t do that. You need this, or you don’t need that. Eventually many people fall into the role that is expected of them, and that role which is true to themselves falls to the back of their mind and is marked off as the frivolous ruminations of a naive child.
It is one of the greatest individual triumphs in life to become happy. And to be happy you have to be true to yourself despite what others think. This is what I believe.

Ok, I am a sophomore in college and I have changed my major literally, every semester. I honestly don’t know what kind of jobs are out there and I am petrified of choosing something and not being able to find a job because of the economy (I’ve looked into advertising but like I said i’m worried I won’t find a job). I know I want to do something big with my life, I am very creative and love being able to use that. I also really enjoy talking to people, i’m a decent writer and a great listener. I hate math with a passion and I would really like to have a career that will allow me to provide a comfortable lifestyle for me and my one-day family. (More specifically, afford to vacation. Haha) I don’t know if that provides enough information but if any of you know something I could look into that might fit my skill set, I would MORE than appreciate it. I feel like I’m going to have a breakdown if I can’t find my niche’ soon.

I am looking to start a petition to bring teachers of a certain subject to my college. Restricting by email domain would be the best (name@school.edu), but I’d be open to other solutions. I’ve tried change.org but random strangers keep signing my petition though I’ve explicitly stated not to on the petition.
In order to make a difference, the people signing my petition must be affiliated with my school.

So I am only 20 years old now with very little college education. I am in the US Army and am currently in Afghanistan. I strongly want to go back to school after I get out of the Army and finish up my degree in Sociology or Psychology. I wanted to work with the FBI, but I don’t see that happening with today’s job market.
So after the Army this is what my resume will look like:
-3 years active duty service in the US Army(1 deployment to Afghanistan)
-SECRET clearance from the US Army good for 10 years as of June 2009
-Fluent in English and Bengali. Also speak French, but not fluently
-Bachelor’s degree in Psychology(or Sociology)
I just want a job where I’ll be able to support myself(be able to afford an apartment, utilities, have enough to eat, gasoline, etc). Do you see me being able to get a job anywhere in the the northeastern United States with these stats? And should I major in Sociology or Psychology? Which would open more doors for me in terms of getting a job that pays enough?
Thanks!
