so, im starting to look at colleges and my guidance counselor at school wants everyone to do this paper thing to see if we really should go to that college, (best benefits, etc).
im checking out colleges in California because i really want to be away from Connecticut as possible. im interested in 1)Modeling (preferably for people who photograph “alternative” styles) .. maybe professionally and 2)photography.
The Academy of Arts University in San Francisco appealed to me, but there’s some questions that i couldn’t answer that i HOPE someone can on here.
ALSO,recommendations for colleges that offer study abroad programs that offer modeling and/or photography classes
1)do you have to take the ACT test?
2)what is the average GPA of a student to get into this college?
3)student life activities that go on at this school (sports, clubs, etc)
4)skills and abilities for photojournalism or photography in general
5) typical tasks of this career
6)most common work activities affiliated with this career choice
also, any colleges in So Cal or maybe Northern Cali that offer the career path of modeling??
i know im probably asking a lot but any help would be truly grateful.
ill love any of you that can help me xD
please and thankkk youu♥

Hi, I am 13 and have been sad (not depressed just blue. Doctor said I am fine. I am not suicidal. I talk to my parents a lot, but I have been a little more down then the average girl. I am very philosophical and think about big stuff)
My mom and dad and doctor said I could see a therapist IF I WANT TOO. I don’t need to because I talk to my mo and dad (my mom is actually a therapist herself, but for adults). I think a little bit of talk therapy with a professional could help me sort out my feelings and my family agrees. Not now, because I am doing better but in the future if I am interested in some outside help .
Anyway, I asked a question about my sadness a little while ago and got good, helpful replies. Many said if I wanted I could try a therapist. But one person said that I should not see a therapist or go back to my doctor, because if they thought I was depressed, it would go onto my permanent record.
And it would put a damper on college.
Is that true? Would colleges not accept me?
And, if I see a therapist in a private practice (not affiliated with a hospital or any orginization) would it go on my record?
Would colleges not want a smart, Straight-A student with good extracurriculars (assuming i still have those things when I am older) who has suffered a little with some sadness?
Help! I am so worried that I won’t et into college if I reach out for help!
Thank you! 🙂

Okay, so I was planning on enlisting in the Navy but when I went to MEPS they DQ’d me for high blood pressure but I was just excited. My question: I am qualified academically for the NROTC(I was leaning more toward the Marine program) program and AM accepted to one of their affiliated colleges. Do I have to wait a certain amount of time to redo MEPS for the NROTC program or can I just start my application immediately? I’m almost positive that my blood pressure won’t be an issue since I know what’s going to go on at MEPS. It sucks because I was kinda screwed over at MEPS; I had a person on their first day on the job and he put the cuff REALLY tight… :/
