I want to add amazon affiliate links to my website, but I’m still putting it together. When I went to apply, you have to list your domain, but if they check it, there’s nothing there yet. Should I wait to apply until my site is up & running?

I know how to block specific sites in windows32/drivers/etc/hosts file
using notepad, but how do I block an entire domain with all its affiliates?
For example. I can block www.yahoo.com but it doesn’t block games.yahoo.com
Is there a way to block not just www.yahoo.com but everything using that domain?
(answers.yahoo.com, games.yahoo.com etc etc).
thanks

I am the proud owner of a Storyz.org, and used it a while ago as a writing-tips type blog (comparable, I think, to Daily Writing Tips, though not as popular). I had since abandoned it, but came back to it, but now I’m at a turning point.
Part of me wants to continue with the writing tips niche. Another part of me wants to elaborate on the “stories” aspect of the blog by making it a news commentary/journalist type site. I’m game for writing either niche, but want a good couple opinions on what I should do?

I have my eye on some domain names that are expiring very soon which I am keen to get hold of. They are not major domains just a couple which will be valuable to my niche.
Is there any software out there that takes over domains automatically if they are not renewed? I may be out the country when they expire so if I could set something up in advance that would be ideal.
Any ideas?

Can I buy a domain name that is the exact name of someone’s company or trademark?
I want to know if I can buy a domain name that is the name of an existing company but is a domain name that they havn’t claimed yet. If I was to register it (eg; www.microsoft.uk.org) would the company whoes name it is have any legal claim to the domain or would it be legally mine. Also, could I then use it to put adsense adverts on the website, being careful not to use any copyrited logos, emblems or trademarks, names, etc? Can I still write about the company (good things!) and spell out their name (eg, ‘ microsoft’) without fear of being sued, so long as I use a disclaimer to say that the site is not affiliated with that company and all trademarks belong to them, blah, blah? Many thanks! 🙂
I did find some info on the subject, but even this says it is a grey area. Basically, domain registras allow anyone the freedom to buy any domain name, yet there is nothing stopping a company from taking you to court for infringing on their copyright, especially if you are making money from it.
So what do we all think?

It is very costly to host different niche market under different domain names. Is there a way to save cost ? Example, one domain name for resell car, one for fitness, one for vegetable wholesale, all different domain names but pay only for one domain name?
