Affiliate Marketing Secrets

I own a website in a fairly competitive facebook niche. I have titles keywords and meta tags on all the pages of my site. Soon I’m going to hire an expert to handle the rest of the seo such link building etc. The problem is I don’t really know allot about seo, so I don’t really know what to ask for and what area of seo I need help in the most. Do I just need quality related sites linking to mine? What type of white hat techniques are going to be used. I need someone to look and review my website and give me a synopsis on what’s the best way to get my site ranked on the first page of google. I use the ClickBank system to sell my books for me. I have one affiliate that receives checks every month for around $400 — while the other affiliates seem to crash and burn. The key to affiliate marketing is attracting qualified buyers to your site before you ship them off to the seller of the product. Also, know the product you are trying to make a commission from. If you don’t sound like an expert, forget about it.

I’m doing a speech on a non-profit organization and have chosen The Boys & Girls club. I live in Los Angeles and focused the speech on troubled kids that may be gang affiliated and how the club helps kid’s and teens stay away from the streets and gangs. Basically how the club is a safe haven for kids that need a place to go. I need a few expert testimonies on how the club helps teens in gangs. here’s what I wrote:
“The B&G clubs of America strive to keep kid’s of the street. Whether they come from poor living conditions, troubled homes, or are surrounded by negative influences such as gangs or violence. They have a place to go no matter the circumstance.”
I’m having trouble finding an expert testimony on how the club helps kid’s in their gang prevention program. If anyone works for a B&G club that deals with kids in the program a testimony would be great as well as any links to them. It would help me out a lot!

I have made a blog and placed amazon affiliates links on it.
I am telling everyone i know to purchase things from amazon through my blog but so far i haven’t been able to make even a single sale.
I would like to here that if u are successful in making money from amazon affiliates whats the best strategy that works quickest and has maximum effect.

Is it still possible to make a living with Affiliate Marketing today? I know it’s a lot different before because competition wasn’t that tight but now every niche seems to be saturated. Also, with the recent Google changes, ezinearticles and squidoo don’t rank as well anymore. Any expert advice you can offer me? Please don’t answer if you just intend to promote your training.

I’ve looked through some of the extensions that come up when I search for “affiliate”, but so far the pretty much all seem to be for displaying affiliate advertising. I’m not an expert, but am reasonably able in Joomla, and need to find a fairly simple extension for creating a one-level affiliate program.
I know I could probably do this with PHP, but that’s well above my grade at the moment (and I have no plan to reach that level of expertise). Ideally, I’d like an extension that works well with one of the simple store/shopping cart extensions, so I can easily track purchases through affiliate advertising.
