get it to work? That’s right, independent with a lower case i, because anyone with a head on their shoulders knows that being independent means that you are not affiliated with any political party, therefor it is not a proper noun and does not warrant capitalization, aparently facebook has no head on their shoulders regarding this.

I have noticed there are little blue emotes that come up every time I try to make any sort of comment, status update, or even use the chatbox on Facebook. I assume they are affiliated with Mozilla Firefox, because they were not there when I was still using Google Chrome. How do I disable these emotes?

I’m opening a website soon which lets users sign up and manage polls. Not going to go far into detail but the question is, how big do you have to be to give yourself some pay ($100-200 a month). I know it all depends on your site traffic and niche and such but I’m not aiming for anything as successful as formspring/twitter/facebook and I’m wondering how hard it will be to make this worth my time. I’m spending $800 on the site development and then will be working on bringing users to my website. I figure if I have 500 active members I’d get at least 50 page views from them and their friends every week, giving me 25000 page views a week and 100,000 a month.. Even at a lot CPM this would be a decent profit for me, right? I know I cant guarantee page views but how terrible does this idea sound? Thanks! 😀 open to ANY and ALL suggestions/comments.

Affiliate marketing?
Referral programs?
Please list a few you think would appeal to urban consumers including graffiti artists, DJs, skateboarders, free-runners (age group 14-30 MALE).
What should I promote to them and how?
Will I get penalized for directly posting an affiliate link on Facebook?
Does that violate Facebook’s terms of use?

My facebook page says this:
You must confirm this Page’s affiliation with the brand, company, person or entity that it represents. Please take one of the following actions:
1. Link to your Facebook Page from your official website.
2. Add an email address to your account or another administrator to your Page who has an email address that is officially affiliated with your company or a company authorised to manage your brand (e.g. management company or PR firm).
If you are unable to authenticate your Page in the next three weeks, you may lose the ability to publish stories to your Fans.
I clicked Authenticate Page and it had all these different options . I chose to do this one:
If you cannot authenticate your Page through one of the methods above, please give a brief description of what your Page represents and how you are affiliated with it (e.g. I use my Page to maintain a political blog).
Description:
Brief description of what your Page represents.
I done this and it said ‘Please click the link in the email to complete this form submission.’
I went on to my emails and clicked the link it had sent me and then it said the following ‘Thanks for contacting Facebook. You should receive an email response shortly. Note that you may need to respond to this email before we can assist you further.’
I done this a few days ago but nothings happened and I can’t update to my fans.
Thanks for your help.
