Why Do Folks Continue To Trust Fox “news”?

During the 2008 campaign a Fox affiliate somewhere in the midwest sent a reporter and a cameraman to a small cafe- there were about 20 customers present, and the Fox reporter went around and asked every single customer for whom they were going to vote. Without a single exception, the answer was “Obama”. After which the reporter looked into the camera, and said, “Well Ted, as you can see, it’s about evenly divided.” How he managed to say this with a straight face is beyond me. This is the “fair & balanced” reporting Fox tries to claim. Really….. what DOES it take for people to realize how bad Fox is?

Is It Wrong For Tv News Shows To Report Murders And Robberies?

I was watching my local news on TV last night. Sometimes they read complaints from viewers. One viewer wrote that he was upset because the channel is reporting too much about murders and robberies in our area. He said that the news channel must have some sort of agenda for reporting these crimes and showing pictures of the people who are arrested. What sort of agenda could he be talking about? Is he mad because most of the suspects are minorities? There was one crime where the suspect was white, and they showed his picture just like all the others.
By the way, the news channel is my local Fox affiliate.

Do Liberals Actually Still Believe Fox Sued For The “right To Lie”?

This has once again come up on this forum…but there’s a reason you can’t find that ‘claim’ on any legit website.
In the lawsuit: Akre did an investigative report for local Fox affiliate on a particular company’s use of Growth Hormone in their cows and accusations it led to human health issues.
When the report was done, the cow company asked Fox to do a review of the piece to check it for bias prior to running it…Fox ultimately did not run the story on their station.
Akre claimed not running the piece constituted lying, by “hiding” the story.
That is all. The Fox affiliate defended their right to run or not run stories. They won.

Is ‘freedom Of Speech’ A Myth In America?

As Fox News noted in its own coverage of the incident, the network had earlier been covering a story about another apparent Secret Service social networking-related gaffe: Its visit to a 13-year-old Tacoma, Wash., resident at his school, where agents interrogated the boy without his mother present. His infraction? Warning on Facebook that the president should be vigilant against possible terrorist attacks in the aftermath of Osama bin Laden’s death.
Timi Robertson, the boy’s mother, told local Fox affiliate Q13 that she “just about lost it,” when a school security guard called her to inform her that her son was being interrogated. “My 13-year-old son is supposed to be safe and secure in his classroom, and he’s being interrogated without my knowledge or consent privately.”
