How Does My Essay On Coke/pepsi Sound?

I just wanted your honest opinions on it. I’m in grade 11, and am supposed to write an essay comparing the benefits of investing in two companies
Coke or Pepsi??
In past decades, the question “Coke or Pepsi?” has raged on in television commercials, supermarkets, and even among teenagers as a trite poll. But this question also has an important place in the investing world. Coca-Cola and PepsiCo Inc. They are both very successful investment giants, but they are each other’s biggest rival.
In 2009, Coca-Cola ruled with 17% of the U.S. soft drink market while Pepsi held only 9.9%. And in 2011, Coke’s brands commanded 41.9% of the total market last year compared to PepsiCo’s 29.9%. But this war concerns so much more due to the fact that each company has hundreds of affiliated brands. Some of the most popular are A&W, Bacardi, Dasani, Minute Maid, and Nestea for Coke and Tropicana, Quaker, FritoLay, Gatorade, Lipton, and Aquafina for Pepsi. By observing this list, you see that Pepsi also owns some snack companies. This extension from just beverages doesn’t seem to be really putting them ahead though.
Coke has been fairly consistent in their marketing, such as putting much support into charities and the Olympics, and therefore have had the upper hand for some years. Despite Coke’s ongoing victory, PepsiCo has put up a good fight by stepping up its marketing for its other brands with slogans promoting them as “better for you”. Pepsi has trying new tactics and hiring nutrition specialist, but regardless, Coke always seems to come out on top, leaving you to wonder, “What proof is there to make me believe Pepsi will ever get ahead?” And from my research, there really isn’t any solid evidence that they will.
In short, Coca-Cola is really the dominant one in the market, and seems as though it will stay that way. I believe that although Pepsi may one day rise above its competition, money is best put into something that has proved its worth, therefore making an investment in Coke would be a smarter way to invest your money.
