This is the least conservative running for the GOP nomination, but yet conservatives are still flocking by the bunches supporting this man and this man has never been affiliated with the tea party in any kind of way, not to mention he has been on the left of many issues such as Gun control, Global Warming, Gay marriage, Obamacare=Romneycare and so fourth….
Are liberals correct in saying that conservatives are literally some of the dumbest people here in USA?

So I know those who are straight and have decided not to get married until there is equality for everyone, and if that’s not in their lifetime, so be it. Others I know simply make sure that the church they affiliate their wedding with supports homosexuals and makes their wedding as open as possible. I was wondering what other peoples views were. I’m not married or even engaged or anything like that. I was just curious.
I am 100% for Gay marriage, by the way.

Several of the Democrats I’ve recently talked to about politics have been statists. As a libertarian, I try to find points of agreement with people to keep hostility to a minimum. When I said I thought things like ending US military involvement in the middle east and ending drug prohibition were good ideas, they disagreed with me. Two people even disagreed that the federal government should mandate that gay marriage be legal. At first I was surprised, and then I realized that Obama is a Democrat and holds very similar, non-liberal views.
Has anyone else noticed this? I know there are still real liberals like Jared Polis in the party, but they seem to be a dying breed. Is the Democratic party trending toward a new ideological position? Are actual liberals still comfortable affiliating with it?
Please don’t try to extract an argument from my question; there is none. It’s a real question that has been inspired by my personal observations.

I am pro-life. I don’t believe in gay marriage. I love Earth; go green! I am against the democrat’s give money to the poor while they do nothing. What are the pros and cons of being a Pub or being Independent. If I’m not affiliated with a political party… can I vote in the primaries? I’m 18 btw, thanks!
