the story is about a scientist doing secret government experiments on black populations, and he is testing out the effects of a satellite that shoots a laser down on a town, causing the people in the town to turn into mutated monsters. He then invents a new genre of mutant pornography and makes money on the black market by selling the pornos.

Should I start a blog? If so, which blog service would be best for a photographer to promote his work?
My work consists mostly of people. The genre is between art and fashion. I’m still trying to find my footing/style and niche. It is quite frustrating! :S

I’ve been looking around for a while, but it’s hard to figure out exactly what genre I should be looking for, and even harder to figure out specific bands. I’m trying to find something modern sounding with a good steady beat, acoustic guitar mixed with some electric or steel guitar, drums, maybe even electronic samples thrown in there too, banjos, etc. Like hard rock with traditional and modern instruments.
It seems that it would fall under ‘folk’ music, but all I get out of looking for modern folk music is stuff like Mumford & Sons (too girly/indie for my tastes), Dropkick Murphys (amazing band, I really like their music, but not the kind I’m looking for), and modern bands that just play traditional folk. It seems to be an extremely narrow niche of music, but I’ve managed to stumble onto songs by a few bands that have the sound I’m looking for.
To post a few examples of what I mean, since it’s difficult to describe:
This is the CLOSEST thing to what I’m looking for, exactly what I want- Bastion OST, Spike In a Rail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQWAcgefsQQ
A couple other great songs that are pretty close to it- Cage the Elephant, Ain’t No Rest For the Wicked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKtsdZs9LJo&ob=av3e
Seven Mary Three, Cumbersome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjNn4bbbgSw&ob=av2e
Things I’m not looking for: Country (definitely my least favorite music, and I live in Arkansas so I’ve heard enough of it for sure), plain old traditional Celtic/folk, Southern rock (not the same genre)
I know I’m being really complicated about it, and sorry if I haven’t left much to go off of, but I’ve been looking and looking for whatever type of music it is and cannot figure a specific name for it anywhere. I’ve been told all kinds of different things, but none of it has led me to anything I was looking for. Hopefully I’m not being too vague.

I heard that there is a division of sub- genres with in rap, so far I only know of two East Coast and Crunk, so what are the rest of the genres, and could you give and example of them, like an artist who is mainly in that niche, plus does anyone know which genre(s) Nicki Minaj fits in? This is for a report by the way.

I think it is time not only to tweak the stereotype about science fiction being a male province, but for the genre itself to have a more female slant. I myself started reading science fiction at the age of ten, and I loved HW Well, Jules Verne and Asimov. As a children’s writer I wanted to write a fantasy adventure sci fi book with a feminist slant and a female protagonist. I have recently self published an e book (Goddess in Pyjamas) about a schoolgirl being abducted to another planet to save their world. It was rejected by publishers because it did not fit into an accepted niche. I felt there was a market out there for sci fi adventure for girls so I wanted to re-invent the genre and create what I like to call ‘pink sci-fi’. It has the sensuality of a girly book and features mythical creatures as well as space travel. More Hitchhikers Guide meet Wizard of Oz, than Star Wars. I was puzzled to find that they don’t even have a section for sci fi for children at all in the flagship branch of Waterstones in Piccadilly. Isn’t it time that publishers and booksellers began to realise that children need as wide a range of reading as adults? If self published ebooks are the only way to get this kind of risk-taking, experimental stuff out there, they deserve to lose out.

Hey! I’m a guy, drumming in a band. We play practically every genre, but I’m more affiliated with Punk/Punk Rock drumming. I’m looking for numerous style ideas to use for my performances, because I want to represent my punk feeling. I don’t want to look like those Punk ‘people,’ more of a punk band like Rise Against. To me, Rise Against doesn’t strike me as a band that is like ‘Punk’ Punk, but lie a mild punk. They don’t have mohawks and outrageous things like that, so I want ideas to represent that. Thanks in advance!
Drum Lord! Mwa Ha Ha!
