Affiliate Marketing Secrets

so clickbank lets me promote a product by giving me a gigantic URL. I need people to go through that huge link. It looks ugly so i bought a domain from host gator which is shorter, and much more attractive. Can I make that gigantic affiliate link, into the domain i purchased? So if people click the more attractive domain, it actually takes them to my unique but long and ugly affiliate link? And please don’t answer if you don’t know what I’m asking. Don’t tell me to hide it under a hyperlink either because thats not what I’m trying to accomplish.

I want to post this image hyperlink on my blog, but I want it to open in a NEW window when people click it. How do I alter its HTML code?
I’ve been trying to insert target=”_blank” but it’s not working, so I’m either using the wrong code or inserting it in the wrong place. Help, please??
