Recently, I met some of the sweetest people affiliated with a certain team I was interested in. Two of the people I met were actually in a relationship. The guy was really cute, and the girl is so sweet! I’ve seen them together twice, but the one time I see him alone, I got shy and kept embarrassing myself. After the practice was over, I thanked him for coaching and said he did a good job, especially for being on his own. He smiled and said “thanks”, but would not look at me.
That night, I had a dream about him. It sounds weird, but it made me like him more.
Him and his girlfriend have been together for a few years.
I just want to know what it means, considering I haven’t even thought of a relationship, let alone liking someone. It’s the first guy I’ve been interested in for about a year.
I would NEVER do anything. I just want to know what it means, if anything at all.

Where I am now. I have currently achieved my masters in chemistry while working towards my phd the last two and a half years. I have finished the synopsis and proposal (half-way examinations for the phd degree) and I will have about another two to two and a half years until I earn a phd.
I have been looking ahead in terms of what I want out of life and my career. I desire job security just as much as everyone else. I believe that the job security I long for is just a pipe dream for researchers in general. Relatively few tenure track positions are available in science and from what I hear it is not a rare occurrence to have over 250 applications for a single job in what is supposedly a niche field. This job competition will exist regardless of the situation of the global economy and to a great degree has made research unattractive(quantity over quality is rewarded.) I have enjoyed teaching while being a teaching assistant(running general chemistry labs and Q&A sessions with undergraduate students) and I have a “gift” for presenting information.
My coworkers urge me to continue in research and tell me I would make a great researcher(this being their gut response) in my field or any field I choose to migrate towards after my phd. The qualities mentioned by my coworkers were:
Problem solver
Care/dedication for the science and project at hand (quality research not quantity)
Willingness/eagerness to learn
Effective or “gifted” communicator
The questions that I really want answered are:
Which is the more viable career move? phd in chemistry or dual masters chemistry/education
Would I be able to teach multiple subjects(beyond chemistry) with only minors in the fields?
If I had the phd would I be overqualified for teaching positions at a high school level?
Could I get a job in management with my chemistry phd? Other non-conventional careers?
As an undergraduate I had my B.S. in chemistry with minors in physics and mathematics.
A masters in education is another two to two and a half year long program unless courses are carried over from my chemistry masters.
Current age is 25 as of Feb. 2013
Currently I am being paid to continue my phd research versus a masters in education would require me to pay to stay in the program.
Currently have a number of publications.

A lot of people say I’m scared to take risk and every opportunity that comes my way. For example; at my job I been offered a management position, an Loss prevention and another Sale position that offers me $1 more than I make. All my superiors say I’m a good worker, and I’m good at my job. But I don’t see it compare to others I think they’re better than me.
I want to take the positions that’s handed to me, but for some reason I think I will do bad. Every time I think about it something negative pops up in my head.
In my past I failed a lot. Everything I do. From school, projects, jobs, and even relationships.
To be honest I really want to be a manager or a store mAnager. But the way I’m living now I don’t think I will ever be one.
I’m 21 minimum wage job. Not in college.

and a Bachelor Degree. I have a boss that treats me with disdain and refuses to give me an evaluation (which is the only way to get a raise) and has not furnished me with a clear job description. I have been working in the position for 9 months and have become the unofficial Office Manager and am depended on for day to day decisions. Unfortunately, the one person that has the power over me has no idea what I do or any respect for me (or anyone else not of her peer level of management). I have approached HR a number of times about this and they are aware of this hateful, dismissive and mean way she has of treating people but her immediate supervisor seems to be blind to this issue and is her friend – I don’t know if the next step is to get the larger corporation we are affiliated with involved or not. Or do I just sit and let her break all the rules by not complying with standard office policies that require her to furnish me with the job description and an evaluation in a timely fashion. I am perplexed as to how any business can be run this way. Opportunities in my geographical area a slim so leaving is not a viable option. Besides, I am an asset to the agency and have already saved them substantial sums of money and developed leaner processes in just my short time there. Any ideas?

I’m currently dissatisfied with my major and want to change it.
My strong subjects are English and History, average with Science, and terrible with Math (especially calculus), but I’m good with trig and algebra. I have an outside talent for art, but I personally don’t believe it’s strong enough to take to a professional level.
My personal interests include mainly video games and film, but I want to make it clear that I don’t intend to get a job that is heavily involved in or dependent on either industry. I want to have a career that I actually have a good chance of getting and keeping a job in, and would prefer something broad as opposed to niche.
Based on my strengths and personal industries what should I major in?
(I did post a similar question earlier, but I was too wordy and specific, so here this is)
