Ok… I’m 15. I am a straight A student. I don’t do drugs or alcohol or porn or any of that nasty stuff. I have a steady job where I make around 12.50$ an hour.
When I was 13 I had been saving all my money for at least a year to get an iPod touch. My grandparents aren’t the kind that spoil. Everything I have I have besides clothes I have bought myself. That consists of my iPod. That’s it literally.
I had recently been saving up to buy a computer for around 2 years and I finally have enough. So I asked my dad if I could get a computer. And he said yes but that he wanted full admin rights parental controls etc. so basically if I clicked I would have to go get it authorized. I told him that wasn’t fair I’m buying it with my own money. He said he dissent want me looking at porn and all this stuff on it. All the stuff he’s worried about I can access on my iPod without a second thought. But I don’t. I have shown him.
He really has no reason at all ever to not trust me but he insists that he have full access to everything I think about doing! He even wants to be able to watch my activity from a different computer!!! I told him I was fine with him looking at whatever the heck he wants whenever he wants. And he still insists (even though I can use my iPod for all but why I want a laptop for.) That I’m in danger of looking at porn or buying slaves on the black market or something. I don’t know where he gets these ideas!
He knows everything there is to know about me! I couldn’t keep a secret from him If I tried.
What do I do? And thanks for reading!!

I’m curious to know if anyone has ever tried using your Local Craigslist to Sell deals you get from eBay or Amazon. The only problem I find is: knowing an item which has great demand but have a higher chance for a local to ring and pick-up that item, I think it highly depends on the ‘saturation’ or how many peeps covers your CL (Craigslist) area.
Not even that but doing the same in eBay or Amazon but I don’t like to bother coming and packaging for shipments. Niche items like a Laptop or an iPhone? What are the chances? Have you done such?

My mom gave me her laptop yesterday, and told me to download easy tether (a app for tethering) so I did and I downloaded what was needed, debugged it, the USB is enabled and the tethering is active so then it told me that five of the drivers wasn’t downloaded so I went back to the website and downloaded more stuff and it told me to make a wifi network on my phone and I did, and I thought it connected, because it said so, but I clicked on it and it said “No internet access” I tryed to go to google, but the T-mobile (My mobile provider) website popped up saying “Add Smartphone Mobile Hotspot” and it’s $14.99 per month my phone bill is already high it was $114 last time (and I have a unlimited account!) I’m just wondering are there any other apps that are easy to use for tethering!? Or should I just ask if I could get the mobile hotspot?

So, I want to buy another gaming laptop. I’m coming off of an Asus G53SW, which was brilliant except for the power pin which kept breaking. Eventually, it got way too frustrating to RMA my laptop so much so I decided to get another one.
My minimum specifications are as follows :
Core i7
8 GB RAM
nVidia 660 or higher
500 GB HDD (I don’t mind not having an SSD)
The laptop must be well built and mustn’t break as easily as the Asus did
It should also not be too heavy because I tend to change workplaces. It doesn’t need to be ultraportable. Just enough to carry it to another building without tiring me out. 14-15 inch laptops are usually fine.
My current choices with all the associated thought processes are as follows :
1. Alienware M14x – It’s small, pretty powerful for its size, is known for really good build quality (and also has a power connector that’d be very hard to break through daily use lol) and, let’s admit, looks really pretty. The problem is that the screen isn’t 1080p, it has a slightly weaker GPU than usual and is kind of pricey.
2. Sager NP9130 – I hadn’t heard of these guys for a long time, and I know they serve a very niche market, which is why I’m slightly unsure about buying from them because I don’t know much about the overall build quality of these laptops. However, they pack a brilliant punch in their laptops.
3. MSi GE60 – This one seems like a really good option too. It’s the cheapest of the lot, and still packs a massive punch in a pretty good package. However, people have raised issues about it’s build quality. It also happens to use the same power connector as the Asus I’m leaving.
Any help and suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

In a family where every, or most, members have their own mobile device, laptop, smartphone, tablet etc (whatever the case may be) and each of these devices has all the essential functionality of the traditional home pc that family members used to fight over getting their turn on.
If no one is a niche user, in other words is specific in needing for example ony the best games that a pc can provide, or perhaps the processing power etc then what use is left for this era defining beast, is there still a purpose for it in our modern lives?
