Sisters with a Secret is a 50,000 word novel that is a paranormal fantasy, young adult novel with series potential.
I’ve been writing all my life and starting a few years ago, I’ve been to numerous writers’ groups. Each of which have been extremely helpful and members have said I have improved greatly. I wrote a few articles for my school paper; interviewed people and even drew a picture for an article I wrote. I even wrote a poem assigned in school that was published in a book of poetry in 2012, Famous Poets of the Heartland.
Sisters with a Secret is about two sets of sisters discover they’re witches and have magical powers. The girls will be put them in danger if the wrong people, a group of witch-hunters find out about them. The witch-hunters had killed their mother and the girls fear the hunters will come after them. So they have to keep their powers a secret as long as possible.
Sisters with a Secret is perfect for your collection because it has fantasy, suspense and action.
This story is aimed at an audience between the ages of 12-18, however I believe this could be great for age groups who have experienced or are experiencing high school drama; homework, cheating, jealousy, breakups, or good experiences, loving someone, making friends. I plan my target audience via Facebook; others marketing plans include approaching bookstore managers before book signings.

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is . This letter concerns my admission to the University of Saskatchewan and I hope I am accepted for the Summer 2013 term.
I would like to pursue my education further, it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I believe, with a University Degree, I will be able to enter the labour force with that much more leverage. I see success from the lens of education, the more educated one is, the more successful he/she is. I plan to make school my top priority to ensure that my grades are as high as they can be!
Furthermore, I would like to pursue an undergraduate education because it gives a greater clarity of mind and encourages creativity. I am really passionate about my community, but without a post-secondary degree, I am unable to get involved in my community in the capacity I would enjoy working in. My passion has always been biology. In high school it was the subject that I was most involved in. After my undergraduate degree I would like to enrol in a post-grad program to further my learning and thinking. I think with the University of Saskatchewan having the ability to offer so many different programs at the undergrad and graduate level helps a enhance the development of character and personality, not necessarily to get a well-paid post.
Gradually, I would like to either follow my mother’s footsteps and become a teacher or even get into a science graduate program which is my passion. My mother has been a teacher for the past 30 years of her life, 15 of them being with the Toronto District School Board. My mother has always been a point of inspiration as she was the first female in our family to get a post-secondary education about 30 years ago. She paved the path and many of my female cousin sisters were able to become doctors and engineers after she carved the path for them. I want to create a niche for myself, and be able to in a way give back to the community that has given me so much to be thankful for.
In the past, I have had the chance for the past few years to be a part of a major airline. I had been working as cabin crew for Emirates and it has enabled me to have many different qualities which would work in my favour when undergoing my undergrad studies. As cabin crew we are responsible for what happens in the aircraft. We all have designated areas that we look after. I would like to start off by explaining the job outline of a cabin crew.
The job outline of a cabin crew is
● greeting passengers as they board and exit the plane;
● showing passengers to their seats and providing special attention to certain passengers, such as the elderly or disabled;
● serving meals and refreshments;
● checking the condition and provision of emergency equipment and information for passengers;
● demonstrating emergency equipment and safety procedures;
● administering first aid;
● dealing with emergencies;
● supplying passengers with newspapers, magazines and in-flight entertainment;
● selling duty-free commercial goods and pursuing sales targets;
● producing written flight reports after completing a journey.
As you can see there is a high degree of responsibility involved, and cabin crew are expected to deal with all passengers diplomatically – even when feeling the effects of travelling through time zones and spending extended periods of time on their feet. I know the fact that I had this much responsibility on me has led me to be a stronger individual and able to prioritize. I have had to give up a lot of my social life to work odd hours, and I know university can be like that, it is all about prioritizing your work and working efficiently. I know that when there is a lot of work piled on to you, you have to just get it done. It means a lot of anti-social nights but that is ok because I am used to it.
By working for Emirates this past year, and having several other part/full time jobs over the last 3 years, I have been able to save up for a University Education. This means, I can divert all of my focus in attaining this University Degree without having to worry about my finances.
In addition, I have developed problem solving, leadership and communication skills. I was able to develop these qualities because of the extensive training I received while working for Emirates and also because I lived alone for the first time in my life. It was one of the most difficult and challenging periods in my life as I was an alien to this land, but thankfully I managed and have come out a very strong person. I have learnt lessons that will help me manage all situations in my life.

I think I should indicate why I am here in Birmingham, since you have been influenced by the view which argues against “outsiders coming in.” I have the honor of serving as president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, an organization operating in every southern state, with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. We have some eighty five affiliated organizations across the South, and one of them is the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights. Frequently we share staff, educational and financial resources with our affiliates. Several months ago the affiliate here in Birmingham asked us to be on call to engage in a nonviolent direct action program if such were deemed necessary. We readily consented, and when the hour came we lived up to our promise. So I, along with several members of my staff, am here because I was invited here. I am here because I have organizational ties here.
But more basically, I am in Birmingham because injustice is here. Just as the prophets of the eighth century B.C. left their villages and carried their “thus saith the Lord” far beyond the boundaries of their home towns, and just as the Apostle Paul left his village of Tarsus and carried the gospel of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the Greco Roman world, so am I compelled to carry the gospel of freedom beyond my own home town. Like Paul, I must constantly respond to the Macedonian call for aid.
Moreover, I am cognizant of the interrelatedness of all communities and states. I cannot sit idly by in Atlanta and not be concerned about what happens in Birmingham. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial “outside agitator” idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds.
You deplore the demonstrations taking place in Birmingham. But your statement, I am sorry to say, fails to express a similar concern for the conditions that brought about the demonstrations. I am sure that none of you would want to rest content with the superficial kind of social analysis that deals merely with effects and does not grapple with underlying causes. It is unfortunate that demonstrations are taking place in Birmingham, but it is even more unfortunate that the city’s white power structure left the ***** community with no alternative.

There is a girl that works at a local market that I have a huge crush on. I decided to go for it and be her secret admirer! I don’t want to come off as a moron, so I need some help writing this letter.
“I’ve noticed your beauty and sunny personality from afar but I’ve never had the courage to say something. I soon found myself wondering what you were really like as a person. I hope you appreciate the beauty of this bouquet the same way I do yours when I see you.
Anyway, I hope these make you smile.”
The “I do yours when I see you” part sounds strange, doesn’t it?

A year ago, I sold a car to someone who never returned my license plates. Then a few months later USAA sent me a letter saying that I was at fault for a car accident. I was scared, and realized that this woman had gotten a hold of my license plates and got in a car crash and the cops didn’t run all the info all the way through.
I had filed a report about the stolen license plates but I never got a chance to get the actual police report and they had a hard time finding it without the number they wrote on a card for me. Well I got the registration for the car the license plate belonged to and sent it to USAA to finish it out and they said they were good and that the woman who actually was in the accident wanted to accept full financial responsibility.
Recently the financial department from an insurance company that was affiliated with USAA has been coming after me since the woman hasn’t payed recently. Can they still do that?
The dept. of safety in my state sent a letter to me saying:
” We have recieved a release submitted for the crash that occurred on SEP 1, 2011.”
Can I get out of this and doesn’t the letter from the dept. of safety mean that I am no longer responsible?

Here is the story..
I was working for this nameless company for about 3 years I would say, I started working as data entry, just basically inputting information into a program. I held that temporary position for about 6 months, after that I was put into the company as a full time employee and joined a newly created Marketing Team.
I worked in that team for about a year and a half maybe? After that, I was doing half my time in marketing and the other half I was being trained as an estimator. Person who would receive the requests for material and then add the earnings, taxes freight and stuff like that.
Anyways, I was really fed up with that company I was promised raises for the longest time, I helped develop a lot of new strategies and implement new tactics, etc.. This year, 2012, I started fresh, first day I just quit, didn’t even call show up or give a two weeks notice, I figured it wasn’t fair for me to have to give a formal notice after I had been treated the way I was treated and have to train somebody else with all the stuff that took me vital time to learn.
Anyways, time after that, months probably around april or something, I can’t really remember, a friend of mine approaches me. Somebody who does the same thing as my ex employer. He asks me if I could send some requests for pricing to some distributors, it happened that one of the distributors I contacted via EMAIL, let my ex employer know. Actually forwarded the email, mind me..
In no way was I pretending to work with nameless company, actually they didn’t even know me, the way it happened was like this. I asked for material from them, the manufacturing company. The manufacturing company was lazy and contacted one of their distributors and asked them, “hey there is this guy near you who needs this material. Wana take care of him?” So that is how my ex employer found out that I had send an email to them.
Just for details, I never at any time signed any form of confidentiality agreement or anything by that sort. Just recently first days of june I received a letter, a Cease and Desist letter from some law firm claiming that I knew internal secrets from my ex employer and I was using that to harm their company by being in competition to them. In the form it claims that I am breaking something mentioned not by writing but by logic in the employee handbook (which is funny because we never had one, never ever. Actually the HR for the company was hired at the same time I was hired, a week prior to me.. Before that the company didn’t even have an HR and she was creating the handbook barely like a year ago, something that was never finished and I never received anything).
The letter gives me 30 days to respond or else legal action would be filed and I could be liable for expenses. My quesiton is this… Is that possible? Would they have enough grounds for anything like that to be held up in court? I mean I never signed anything, I guess you could say I did know internal information from the company, but it is stuff I never took from them nor did I ever use it against them. The company I contacted I found through google, it just turned out it was a manufacturer that provided my ex employee with products.
What would be my best step? I really need some advice guys. I have stopped contact with my friend who had the other company completely, stopped everything i was doing (which was only really asking for prices, no purchase was made, nor did I contact any clients what so ever) I do know that in Texas it is illegal to contact your ex employers CLIENTS, which was not done in this case, all I did was contact a MANUFACTURER for PRICING, that is it!
