I just now got Windows 8 on a new laptop I just got a 2 days ago, I previously had windows 7 which I loved. The problem is, every time I’m just scrolling on the internet, and my finger is normally propped on the left side of the mouse, and I go over to click something, making me scroll to the right in a sideways way, it takes me to normally a microsoft calender on the home screen, or a previous thing I had up earlier that day.
How do I stop this? It’s extremely frustrating, and I’ve browsed through the mouse settings, but I have yet to figure out this annoying problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I think not. Mammals and dinosaurs appeared the same time ( late Triassic). And where both pretty small. Go to the Cretaceous and dinosaurs had came in many DIFFERNT sizes varieties and basically filled every ecology niche. The mammals where still unchanged. All of them where about the size of a mouse and only ate insects. After the dinosaur wen t extinct that when we say mammals become DIFFERNT vartites and started to change size. I think if the dinosaurs never went extinct they would still be the apex organism.
Dinosaurs and ancie t reptiles filled every ecological niche mammals do now. (pilosaurs for dolphins and whales) ( raptors for wolfs and lions) ( small tree dwelling dinosaurs for squirrels and rodents) etc erc Not to mention no mammals has really reached the size of any dinosaurs. Short face bear the largest mammalian predator that ever existed was tiny compared to the 60 foot long spinosaurs. Basically what I’m trying to say if dinosaurs never gone extinct us humans and many other mammals would not had even evolved. And we still be the same size of a mouse.

This isn’t the beginning. i was just seeing if it was okay.
“David, we need to go NOW!” She exclaimed, and pulled me up. In the air a large aeris-copter was slowly descending to the ground. The sharp blades threatened to sliced us into bacon bits.I grasped my dagger and followed her back into the forest.
We didn’t make it far before Amber collapsed, unconscious.Blood was now slowly falling from her leg. I could still feel the wind on my back as I lifted her into the air. “Hello Mrs Quartz.” I whispered.
“Good morning David dear,” she said,occupied serving the honey mead. “ I have some food around back.” I muttered my thanks. I wasn’t going to be the one to tell her about Amber’s injury. Last time she was hurt from a simple thorn her mother smashed a hot skillet into my face. This time I expected worse. I wasn’t going to risk that so I quickly went through the kitchen,snatched some soup, and jogged up to their apartment.
Everything in their home had an exact place. It was like the library at school but bigger in different places. Firstly it was circular. Everything was based in their small little main room. Doors lead into closets and bedrooms. Everything had a theme. White curtains to block sunlight from the small window with red rugs and couches to make it look more elegant. A walk in room had an office where Mr. Quartz was scribbling away. I could sleep in and out unnoticed with my soft leather shoes.
Silent as a mouse I slipped into Amber’s room and layed her down on her purple bed. I locked her door, ignoring all of the posters of teenage heartthrobs then tucked under her sheets. Her peaceful face stirred as I made her sip the rest of my water. I slung by pack over my shoulder and pushed open her window to climb on a small balcony.
“Goodbye.” I muttered and climbed away.
After I carefully climbed from the building I walked slowly toward the sea. Citizens pushed past as the yellow sun set. Soon the curfew would begin and wanderers would be shot on sight. As I was pushing against the crowd I felt a hand brush against my pocket. A thief! Instinct took over as I grabbed the robber by his hand. He pushed me into an alley and took out a polished iron dagger.The razor-sharp blade was barely on my skin yet small droplets of thick red blood dripped down into the dirt.
“What do you want?” I managed to croak. The man’s sweat covered matted hair smelled like mud and blood. His beard made him look wiser.
“ I want to warn you,” he answered. “Stay secret stay safe.”
Before I could ask him what was going on he slipped a brown package in my pocket and charged into the dense swarm. I jumped into the crowd.
I know its not the best I have to finish it and edit. I need to know some skills I need to work on.

I’ve done about an hour of google searching with no success…
It’s a top down space shooting game in flash online, it isn’t affiliated with any major game site. You start out as a single platform with a blinking heart in it, you kill other enemies and their undamaged parts float off and you can attach their parts to your unit with your mouse.
As enemies get harder and their color scheme shifts from green to yellow to red to blue to white.
The graphics are very basic/stylized with simple geometric shapes.
The plot is if you die you explode, killing everything in the sector.

My acer laptop computer, with a WD Caviar Blue harddrive is stalling randomly for no reason.
Whiler windows is doing it’s “per-second-hdd-short-access” thing, the harddrive kept on parking and unparking it’s head and at times its parking took more than 2 seconds and windows hangs (i mean mouse cant even move) and resumes after that. And while im typing this, it stalls again and is very annoying.
Should I worry about the harrdrive failing? The harrdrive doesn’t seem to be failing at all, SMART data says ok to everything, and not a click-of-death was heard, except for the stupid parking and unparking mechanism.
