I live in DMA 17. As you may know the McGraw-Hill Broadcasting division (one station being Denver’s ABC affil KMGH) is for sale and there is plenty of interest.
The license of Local NBC affil KUSA and minor “network” My Network TV affiliate KTVD are both held by Multimedia Holdings Corporation, a subsidiary of Gannett CO.
Hypothetically, if Gannett thought it was in their best interest to buy KMGH, would the following be a way to avoid FCC restrictions on major network duopoly ownership?
First, Gannett could create another holding company (lets call it TVX Holding Corp). After purchasing and hanging the KMGH license with TVX Holding Corp, TVX Holding Corp could then create a Local Marketing Agreement which would lend operations of KMGH to KUSA, thereby circumventing the duopoly restrictions (I think).
Another possibly would be that TVX Holding Corp is owned by Gannett (49.9%) and (lets say) Another Brand Broadcasting (50.1%). Since Another Brand Broadcasting doesn’t have a station in the market, again TVX Holding Corp could then create a Local Marketing Agreement which would lend operations of KMGH to KUSA, thereby circumventing the duopoly restrictions (I think).

I want to see Dexter season 6 as it will play this fall. ShowTime is not in the available list of channel for my cable provider. Does it also air on other networks (maybe affiliates of ShowCase) such as The Movie Network?

Ok, I made 4 apps, 1 for entertainment, the other 3 are useful. I plan to make them free or $0.99
1. Facebook Plus- it let’s you use the secure version of Facebook, also if Facebook is blocked on your network it will bypass the security (Tested, it works) $0.99
2. Fish Tank- the name is misleading, this is a secret browser that is hidden. The icon blends in, it’s of a happy little fish that I made. $0.99-free
3. Amazon Secure Edition- Let’s you browse the secure version of Amazon.com so hackers won’t get your information, it has the same option as Facebook, if it’s blocked it can bypass security.
4. Pet the Hamster- Cute picture of my hamster, pet him to hear him squeak. Free
would you ever buy any of these, they are currently going through approval with Android Market.

As Fox News noted in its own coverage of the incident, the network had earlier been covering a story about another apparent Secret Service social networking-related gaffe: Its visit to a 13-year-old Tacoma, Wash., resident at his school, where agents interrogated the boy without his mother present. His infraction? Warning on Facebook that the president should be vigilant against possible terrorist attacks in the aftermath of Osama bin Laden’s death.
Timi Robertson, the boy’s mother, told local Fox affiliate Q13 that she “just about lost it,” when a school security guard called her to inform her that her son was being interrogated. “My 13-year-old son is supposed to be safe and secure in his classroom, and he’s being interrogated without my knowledge or consent privately.”
