I love listening to radio disney ever since I was a kid and I found out that they are owned by ABC and I only watch CBS for news (I like CBS, I watch my local affiliate KPIX/KBCW here in San Francisco), but because I like listening to radio disney, I feel like like switching networks, I been having second thoughts about switching from CBS lately, What are your thoughts and what should I do? What are your opinions about both networks? and please tell me why you like either one.

I think the ipad reaches a certain niche (apple fanboys). For individuals that actually possess a penchant for reading, they like e-ink tablets. All the multimedia distractions such as music, game and apps aren’t necessary. There is also that large niche that loves to read news articles and publications online. It would be nice if the kindle had a better web browser that was fast and efficient so reading the NY Times, WSJ, etc. would be more copacetic. I wouldn’t mind a sacrifice in battery life for better performance as long as there are no distractions.

I personally feel that it does, and I seek to attain a better insight. My reason for believing it does is that the newspapers all write in a bias, rather than objective way, about news and events. I don’t know if its done in such a way to appeal to their target market (their customers), or whether the papers are written in such a way to achieve a higher purpose, or both. In the UK, our new “coalition government” is still in its teething stages but it seems like the newspapers are reflective of what this new government stands for. All of a sudden, there is this “uproar” about the numbers on welfare / benefits. I’ve read a few newspapers today and they all attack people in benefits at some point, and some of them make it their main story. I believe this is to soften the blow when our so-called coalition government phases out the benefits system. After all, there has never been such focus placed on the numbers on benefits in previous years. It would seem like the media can be used as a political tool for social reform. I’ll tell you a secret, I live in Northern Ireland. And ever since the leaders of the two contesting groups agreed to try to reach some sort of an agreement, the news stations and papers have flamed any action taken by either side, and crime has dropped substantially. Such action was widely accepted as part of our heritage, culture and lives, even though the majority detested it; and this has changed thanks in part by the media. The wasting young men in our society used to commit crimes because it was the “cool to be bad”, but now that we’ve had a major paradigm shift such crimes aren’t as common as no one wants to be hated by the masses. And as for the papers, why do they broadly state that all claimants are “Workshy” and never express that there are individuals out there who need such a system to survive?

Whether you are new to affiliate marketing or an experienced veteran you’ll be asking yourself this question at least occasionally; where to start? There are several ways to start affiliate marketing, but they all fall into one of two main categories:
1. to start with the product and try to find a market for it, or
2. to start with the market research, then find a product that fits with it.
Starting with the product might sound like the easiest way to go, but is not necessarily going to be easy all the way. You might find a great product that other affiliates are aggressively promoting, but if you target the wrong market you’ll not be as successful as you want.
On the other hand, starting with the market research might seem harder, but if it is done properly the rest of the process will be almost effortless. Here is why:
By searching the market and finding out what people want, you are getting the advantage of knowing your market better than most of your competitors. Thinking like a customer is the best way to do the market research.
During the market research process you’ll gather information about your market that only you can match with a product that fits with your market. And if done properly, the thirsty market will absorb your product like a sponge absorbs water.
There are several ways to do the market research for your affiliate marketing, here are 3 of the most effective ones as practiced by myself:
1. Watch talk shows, commercials, infomercials, and the news to pick up new ideas for markets to explore. Right down the broad terms (like “back pain”) in your list of potential markets that you’ll research later
2. Check Amazon and eBay for the hottest trends. This will give you an idea of what’s selling right now so that you tailor your market research around these items. Focus on “who might want to buy this product” and do your research on that basis.
3. Check your “Spam” or “Junk” folder in your email for what spammers are trying to promote. Take ideas from these emails, but you don’t have to promote the same products.
Formal affiliate marketing training, unfortunately, doesn’t exist. The good news is that I have a completely free affiliate marketing training series posted on my website: http://marketing-online-101.com where I explain it the way I do it.
