There are some good points for each party as well as some horrendous points. I have become an Independent because of this.
Do you completely agree with your party?

I wanna have a Soul Train themed birthday party – but want it to be as cool and non-lame as possible. Not your typical ’70’s’ themed party… but more of a niche party – with amazing food and music. Any ideas of activities, decoration, invitations… anything that will make it unique and awesome??
cheers!

Taking away their dependency on welfare making them better off for the labor market.
Fighting against minimum wage so more jobs are available and those people who take those jobs can acquire new skills to earn better wages in the future.
Cut taxes as to let more investment and more business provide opportunities for themselves to make money. And the secret to that helping the poor is, these businesses need workers they can pay!
Cut Federal Student loans as to force the price of college down so people can afford it or use private student loans.
Create a voucher program for public schools so public schools have to compete for people to attend their class. Gives an incentive to improve the quality of schools so a High School Diploma means more and their students are even more ready for the labor market.
Policies that cut cost of living and doing business.
Personal Freedom = Personal Responsibility
Broke is temporary, poor is a state of mind…
We want the broke to not stay broke.
Last but not least, their philosophy proves to be the most empathetic to the problem of the poor being poor. Why? Because they believe in free market capitalism and as Milton Friedman states, there is no other system in the world that has been more effective in helping people from being poor or ridding people of being poor.
Your welcome.

Many of you on here whom identify as republicans are presumably of low to middle income. For almost 30 years, the Republican party has favored a very small niche in this country, the rich. Why do you continue to vote for Republican candidates? Is it because you think that by doing so, you too will some day have the opportunity to become rich? The irony is that most of you won’t because of the very policies that have been enacted by Republican legislatures for the past 30 years. Your party is no longer your father’s party it used to be. When will you come to this realization?
Don’t believe me, just look up Republican policies before 1980 before Milton Friedman and Reaganomics. Going by your party’s logic today, you’d swear the Republicans of old were socialists.

For civics I have to fill out of chart on the democratic republican and Federalist Party.
The questions they ask are:
What are the supporting groups for each of the parties?
What type of government they are each affiliated with?
