I don’t know why this often happens over and over again, its just simply stupid. Plus, politics are not so good anyway.
I’m a liberal Christian (and was happy that the LGBT marriage got approved), but I don’t trust either parties, Republicans or Democrats. I would often parody them as their animal symbols; Elephants, dignified but strict, intolerant of nonsense, afraid of mice (metaphorical) and drunk (on power or anything else). Donkeys, humble but stubborn, ridiculous, slow and foolish.
This is why I don’t like to involve my beliefs in politics, politics always corrupt. In fact the word comes from a Greek word meaning ‘to tell tales that aren’t true’

Skepticism is the wrong term, I am a skeptic by nature, but that doesn’t mean I refuse to accept facts. The science is settled and the facts are that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, that without greenhouse gases the earth average temperature would be 33C colder (a giant snowball) and that we have added 40% more CO2 to the atmosphere. There is not one scientist who denies these facts.
The deniers (of climate science) claim that all this additional CO2 has no or little effect on the heat retention capabilities and a recent study has (again) shown that climate change deniers are either extreme free marketeers or conspiracy theorists.
“Although nearly all domain experts agree that human CO2 emissions are altering the world’s climate, segments of the public remain unconvinced by the scientific evidence. Internet blogs have become a vocal platform for climate denial, and bloggers have taken a prominent and influential role in questioning climate science. We report a survey (N > 1100) of climate blog users to identify the variables underlying acceptance and rejection of climate science. Paralleling previous work, we find that endorsement of a laissez-faire conception of free-market economics predicts rejection of climate science (r .80 between latent constructs). Endorsement of the free market also predicted the rejection of other established scientific findings, such as the facts that HIV causes AIDS and that smoking causes lung cancer. We additionally show that endorsement of a cluster of conspiracy theories (e.g., that the CIA killed Martin-Luther King or that NASA faked the moon landing) predicts rejection of climate science as well as the rejection of other scientific findings, above and beyond endorsement of laissez-faire free markets. This provides empirical confirmation of previous suggestions that conspiracist ideation contributes to the rejection of science. Acceptance of science, by contrast, was strongly associated with the perception of a consensus among scientists.”
The funniest claim that I have seen on this section of yahoo, is the claim that thousands of scientists all over the world are conspiring in secret in order to get politicians to raise taxes on every one (including the scientist) and/or to institute a one world oppressive government. And to put the icing on the cake they call those who accept the science “alarmist”….

Maybe its time for an intelligent, yet not politically affiliated person to run for president. Any thoughts on the idea?

1 in 5 is irreligious…this number is only growing and in 10 years we will be the majority. You can already see the panic among the “believers” who feel threatened that we will take Christmas without realizing we already have their children. Eventually politicians will not have to pander to them and our progress won’t be slowed by debating social issues like abortion and equality for gays.
We are living in marvelous times my friends.

As opposed to other religions that are not labeled as political ideologies but merely faiths, yet have more politicians in the Congress affiliated with them.

They are all shades of black. Just one is blacker then the next.
One of em hides behind God’s light to con people, one of em hides behind the light while stealing from public and still has the odosity to smile while they take your hard earn money for their corrupt ways on deplomacy vacations lol, and the other one has the heart to say that is what he truly is and fuckes the government and the religion without pity or remorse.
I am a good person and I need money but I give back to my God for what he has given me. When I need money I use the money that I saved for God and give it to the needy or when I myself is needy. LOL.
We are all sheep among wolfs, and there is always a bigger fish in the sea. So beware religious affiliates and politicians with the biggest fish out there like mobsters!!!!!!!!!!!
We all know Mafias kill presidents and wash money from the Vatican. Sorry I didn’t mean the Vatican in the Region of Mobster in Italy. I must have been confused. I don’t want to be killed, lol.
