I’m rushing at Georiga Southern University in the fall of 2013, which will be my third semester, then transferring to UGA in the spring of 2014 because of my major. I love a few of the sororities down here and am thinking of going PhiMu, ADPi, or AOPi. How do these sororities rank on UGA’s campus for when I affiliate? And how are the other soroities on UGA’s campus. I just don’t want to rush down at Southern with a sorority I love, then transfer and not love it at UGA for my next 5 semesters…

I am a junior in college studying psychology. I have been studying psychology ever since the second semester of college and I absolutely love it and have always planned on going to graduate school to obtain a masters in a specific psych field. The only problem is, I am graduating in three semesters… I need to take the GREs this winter and start looking into graduate programs but since I haven’t found my niche yet, I don’t know what kind of program to look for. For a while I was very interested in school psychology, but after taking an educational psychology and theories of learning class, I realized it wasn’t for me. Next semester I am taking a research course and I had always planned on choosing a topic related to the field I wanted to earn a masters in, because the independent study would show my true interest in it. But now I have no idea what to do. I’m lost, does anyone have advice? I know for a fact I want to continue my education in psychology, I just don’t know which field of psych. Thank you

I have taken a ray of psych courses… clinical, counselling, abnormal, personality, school, social, research, experimental, physiological, and many developmental psych courses. I enjoy most of them, but wouldn’t know what to do with a masters degree in personality psychology, for an example.

Greetings! I’m Mahesh, a student of a private engineering college in Chennai, which is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. I want to do MS in USA or Canada. But, I have 5 arrears currently, which will be cleared this time, hopefully. Also, I have had a lot of arrears during my first 3 years of engineering. All of my previous arrears have been cleared within 2-3 semesters. Now, only this 5. So, is it possible for me to do MS program in USA or Canada? If no, is there any way through which I can do my MS program there? Also, with these conditions, is it possible for me do MS in Europe?
Thanks.

I’m a college student, and though I won’t graduate for another 3 semesters, the thought of life after college seems… lonely and unstructured. In some ways, it seems like life ends when you’re an adult–in the sense that, for the rest of your life, you’re going to work and not do much else. Of course, that’s not exactly true, but a LOT of working adults have this lifestyle. Their life centers around work, and that’s something you’re going to be doing for decades…so it seems like there’s no more “stages” of life to look forward too.
I kind of like the structured lifestyle that comes with being in education. I feel like I can’t handle all of the freedom that comes with adult/after college life. You’re truly on your own…. and even though I have friends, I feel like everyone just is doing their own thing, and has their own life so it’s difficult to form that stable support group. So many people who have graduated or who are graduating (either seemingly or actually) feel pretty confident with how there life is and the direction it’s going in. It’s like they’ve found their niche in life, have the support they need, and what not. But I feel lost and rather directionless…
For some reason, I feel like my life is going to feel pretty pathetic as an adult in the workforce. Following graduation, I’ll hopefully soon attain a career in less than 6 months, but I don’t know what else I’m going to do with myself… I assume I will be single, or at least not being even close to getting married. This could definitely not be the case, don’t get me wrong, but I assume I’ll be single, getting settled in my career and living with god knows who..hopefully some friends? A serious relationship would provide that stability at least…so I kinda hope I’m not single by that point. It would be nice to have a stable unit (in this case, a husband) to come home to…I feel like I’m going to be lacking stable emotional/social support in adult/workforce life
