I will be buying a GTX 570 classified in the first part of next month. If you have an affiliate code do you still get EVGA bucks? I don’t have one. I am simply looking for someone that does.

I want a first person shooter with online multiplayer that requires more teamwork, (maybe with squads, where every player has a niche) less run and gun (unlike CoD series) and is realistic (like Ghost Recon) maybe with vehicles (like Halo: Reach), long, large scale maps and games, and, importantly, mature players. (as in I don’t want eight year olds swearing in my ear). If anyone can think of a game that fits these criteria, put it in the answers

Here’s how the South Bend, INDIANA CBS affiliate has posted the bowl invitation story =
Notre Dame and Miami will meet in the Sun Bowl, Dec. 31 in El Paso, Texas, selection committee chairman John H. Folmer announced Sunday afternoon.
The game will be played at 2 p.m. ET at Sun Bowl Stadium and will be televised on CBS. Both teams will be making their first appearances in the Sun Bowl.
“After a great game last year, who would have thought that we could have two great football schools like Notre Dame and Miami in the Hyundai Sun Bowl,” Folmer said in a statement. “After waiting 77 years, the stars have finally lined up for us. I have spent 40 years as a volunteer and I would have never thought I would see the day that Notre Dame and Miami would play in the Sun Bowl.”
The Sun Bowl will be the 24th meeting between the two schools, but first since 1990. Notre Dame leads the all-time series 15-7-1. It will be the first-ever bowl game matchup between the two teams.
“We are thrilled about getting Notre Dame back to a bowl game, especially one with tradition like the Hyundai Sun Bowl,” said Irish head coach Brian Kelly in a statement. “Following our victory at USC, we internally targeted the Sun Bowl as a great game for us because of the national exposure the game receives and the top-notch opponent we will face in Miami. This game will serve as a perfect prelude to the three-game series we’ll experience in the coming years. We look forward to the great reception our school will receive in El Paso and experiencing the hospitality that has been a trademark of the Sun Bowl.”
Notre Dame and Miami were set to renew their “Catholics vs. Convicts” rivalry in 2012 at Soldier Field in Chicago, but now it will come sooner.
“The University of Notre Dame is proud to accept the offer from the Sun Bowl Committee and we eagerly anticipate our travels to El Paso,” said Jack Swarbrick, Notre Dame director of athletics, in a statement. “This bowl is rich in tradition and we look forward to contributing to it this year. Our fans will enjoy El Paso and our University is excited to immerse itself in the welcoming community. I want to congratulate Coach Kelly, our coaching staff and team, but especially our seniors on finishing the season in such a strong fashion to put us in position to play in this prestigious game.”
Miami (7-5, 5-3 ACC) finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division, and fired coach Randy Shannon after the season. Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland will coach the Hurricanes in the Sun Bowl.
“This is one of those situations where the history speaks for itself. We have two great programs that have incredible history and we are playing in the second oldest bowl on national television,” said Miami head coach Jeff Stoutland, in a statement. “The players will be excited. We’re playing Notre Dame, and these guys know the history behind them and the rivalry between these programs. This is their chance to be a part of one of the greatest rivalries in the game.”

I often see that the world of movie watchers hate it when beloved characters are taken out and new ones are added. Do you think in the next Narnia movies that the audience will become attached to characters like Jill Pole and Eustace Scrub just like they did with the four Penvensie children? I am afraid that people who have not read the full Narnia series will affiliate Narnia with the Pevensie children and not be able to accept the new characters. Thoughts?

I’m working on my first novel after a long dry spell (thank you, writer’s block). I’ve taken inspiration from Stephen King’s “Dark Tower” series, Lord of the Rings, Gangs of New York, Anne Rice’s “Beauty” series, the movie Moulin Rouge… There’s a lot going on in my head, but here’s the basic plot:
Backstory:
Main character is seeking revenge for the massacre of her home some years back. (Think Fable 1 and Gangs of New York).
Plot:
She moves to the capitol city where the king lives. It’s kind of a big brother society, medeivel in a way but in no way conforming to history. After some planning, she meets the king (a known lecher) and he tries to seduce her, but she won’t give in. He invites her to live at court, and so she does, all the while planning to murder him in the most public way possible.
She ends up getting to know him very well and sees the duality in his personality. He used to be a tyrant, but now that he’s conquered the lands he wanted he has mellowed out and become somewhat soft, although he is merciless when opposed by an underground faction of rebels who oppose his right to his crown.
She becomes active with the group of rebels in the meanwhile in her attempt to assassinate him. They eventually all come to rely on her conviction that he should be put down and help her plan to murder him and replace him with the king’s first son born of the marriage his parents arranged before he had his parents and former wife murdered in his campaign for uncontested control.
In the end, she decides that she will convince the king to formally make an edict that his son should be his successor. He insists that she become queen so they may both adopt him, and she agrees having truly fallen for him.
Shortly after he makes the edict and they are married, he begins to get word of the underground resistance group the main character and his son are still affiliated with. He begins to go mad with paranoia and sets up a group of inquisitors to find out the group so that he may have them all killed.
The main character, given the choice to betray the resistance group or be killed along with the king’s son, makes the decision to kill the king and then herself, leaving the good-hearted son to rule.
And that’s essentially it. Sorry for the length. Opinions? Thanks!
