I myself shop occasionally at VS for underwear or nicer PJ’s, but would never bring my daughter into one of their stores. I have heard people say that marketing campaigns reflect our culture, but I think that is false, sometimes they attempt to DIRECT our culture. I cannot figure out how taking my daughter into a Love Pink store and exposing her to uber sexy underwear (and t-shirts, and yes even jogging suits) could be good for her. Is it really in a young girls best interest to be “hot”? And if not, why would we as consumers want to promote or advertise for a company that targeted 10 year old girls with sexy clothing?

Am doing some market research on female underwear trends. What age range do you feel is most likely to buy products from stores such as Victoria’s Secret, etc? Why? and what is their average budget for such things?
Thanks to all who reply in advance 🙂
