When I’m watching tech videos, most of the larger channels always say: “This video was brought to you by/sponsored by blah blah blah. Check out www.blahblahblah/channel name.” Does this mean that they are being paid, or does it mean they are part of the affiliate program? How much do they get paid?

I have been offered the job of Technical Services Engineer in Perth. The job is very niche and involves technical support, training and consultancy for software in the engineering sector. I have over 13 years experience in this area and I have been offered a sponsorship through a company based in Sydney. They are very confident that I will get the 457 visa.
However, what worries me is if I decide to stay in Australia and apply for permanent residency. The company seems quite confident I would have no problem in obtaining this. However, I am not so sure.
If I apply for permanent residency do I need a degree in close to me profession i.e engineering? I have degree in English (2-2) however I do have over 13 years experience.
Would this affect my chances of obtaining permanent residency?
