So after talking to sum of my coworkers I’ve developed an interest in the stock market, im not going to ask what’s the best way to invest or what’s the best stocks,I think if anyone knew the answers to that and was giving it out for free we would all be rich but I do have sum questions to many to list on here so im just looking for a list of books, webpages, or even online classes I should be looking into before trying to swim with the sharks

I am about to open up a stock market account with TradeKing but I have no idea about investing. I was looking at the rates of trading and it said that its was $4.95 per trade and $4.95 plus .65 for a stock option contract. What is a stock option? And how is it different from a regular stock. I tried to look up the definition but all the answers are so complicated. Can someone in plain english please explain. Thank you so much!

If it makes it easier to answer this question my aftermarket rims are staggered 19×8.5 (front), 19×9.5 (back) Niche M130 Targa rims and the tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport (235-35-19/265-30-19).
For example how would it effect acceleration/speed since they are bigger in diameter. Also what are the Pros and Cons and other major effects. (and i already know i’m going to have to reset my speedometer and the rim will bend easier if I hit a pot hole) I just want to know what they do to performance and please try to make your answers specific to my car.I just want to know how it will affect my car specifically.

I’d be interested in buying and selling shares during my summer break in order to make some extra cash when i’m not working, perhaps start doing it to earn serious cash in the future. My very crude and basic view of how it works is that a buyer buys shares for a certain amount, waits for them to rise in value, and then sells them, cashing in on his efforts. It seems pretty simple from this and easy to do, but if it were everybody would be doing it.
Questions i have relating to this are: How does the buyer earn money, who pays him or her? And what is a portfolio?
