If birds were once dinosaurs, then why dont they dominate the planet today? The vast majority of bird species are just small flyers who eat bugs and small animals. You dont see giant grazing birds or large bird carnivores anymore (though there were some not too long ago, as in the terror birds). Why dont you see birds today that are like the raptors (as in the dromaeosaurs). Why have the never re-evolved the features that some dinosaurs had? A raptor-like bird isnt really out of the question, considering the relatively recent terror birds, who only went extinct like 2 million years ago (more than 60 million years after the dinosaurs died out), if i’m not mistaking.
Yeah, you have some large birds like ostriches and emus (who are probably the most dinosaur-like birds that exist today), but all the large carnivores on this planet are mammals (lions, bears, tigers, wolves), with the exception of crocodiles and komodo dragons. There are no large carnivorous birds anymore. Come to think of it, reptiles are mostly small animals too. The only giant-sized animals since the dinosaurs vanished have all been mammals. Why can’t birds achieve the sizes of the dinosaurs, or fill the same niches as the dinosaurs once did?

OK:
Idea 1: A butcher had been selling some sort of meat in the black market, but the FBI catches him in the act, and after close investigation of his little butchery, they find dozens of pounds of raw human flesh kept frozen in the back freezer.
A down on her luck waitress Sara Libstien’s sister Eva had gone missing a week before, and when they find a bag of girl human bones buried in a bag in the freezer, Sara wonders if the Bones where Eva’s.
Eva’s horrifieng gruesome mystery is slowly unraveled, and in the end, Sara finds out from Eva’s secret diary that Eva SOLD herself to be butchered so “She would finally be with all mighty satan”
Unaware that the Butcher had escaped prison and was now a huge threat to her, Sara goes back into the freezer for one last look at her satanic evil sisters bones, frozen.
As she is standing there, the Butcher sneaks in and slams the freezer door shut, locking her inside a 10° freezer.
She slowly died a painful death, and the last thing she saw was her sisters Barrett, left on the butchers table and soaked in blood.
IDEA 2: A pyromaniac 13 year old Fisher Sulvion sets fire to a supposedly closed bakery, and not knowing 5 people were inside, he killed them all, including his favorite cousin Bonny.
Insane with guilt and terror, Fisher forms a second identity, The Fish, a serial killer that inhumanly and brutally murders his victims then burns a fish into there forehead with a caddle prod burner thingy.
Fisher kills only girls 13 and under, they all somehow know him, and they all have a look of terror on there dead, sunken in faces.
But one lucky time, A girl named Claira hid in a closet while she watched her littler sister get skinned everywhere but her forehead, where The Fish Burned his legendary mark.
Fisher was a popular, handsome, wealthy boy who had everything going for him, so why would he commit murder? Claira didn’t know, but Claira testified that it was him and was scoffed at. Fisher kills Claira. the End.

I believe in god but i feel like religon has failed me. I dont have faith in humanity and seeing all the terrible things that are being done in the name of religion disgusts me. I feel like i dont want to be affiliated with anything that can cause so much terror when it is supposed to be preaching the exact opposite.

Goth has opened the minds and inspired a lot of people throughout time. There is so much that can tell us about gothic such as gothic architecture, literature, music etc… (think syou could add anything to this)
Gothic architecture is a style of architecture which flourished from the 12th to the 16th century. Most gothic buildings had pointed arches, stained glass windows, narrow spires and flying buttresses. All this is to symbolize the upward movement of heaven. Gothic architecture is the most familiar as the architecture of many great cathedrals, abbey, parish churches, castles, palaces, town halls and universities of Europe. It is in the great churches and cathedrals that gothic style was expressed most powerfully.
Gothic literature is a genre that combines horror and romance. As a genre it is generally believed to have been invented but English author Horace Walpole, with his 1764 novel ‘The Castle of Otranto’. After that a lot of people were encouraged to write in gothic style. A typical Gothic story is set in and around a castle – ruined or otherwise usually graveyard, cave, convent, monastery, church, cathedral, chapel, dungeon or charnel house. Gothic atmosphere is really important. Towers, trapdoors, mysterious corridors, rusty hinges, tunnels, and lightless niches all serve to entrap their helpless victims. Flickering candles, burial vaults, tolling bells, hidden manuscripts, curses and prophecies, suits of armor, ghosts, clanking chains, animated portraits, lamps, evil potions and spells, fluttering bats, storms, lightening, and howling winds add to the aura of terror and mystery that define the Gothic genre. A wide range of elements that create a sense of terror, decay, despair, or death can contribute to a Gothic setting. Heroes and hero-victims, villains, and split-personalities found in Gothic fiction tend to fit certain characteristic molds. They are somber, diabolic, or pure and angelic virtue, or they are a combination of those types.
Gothic music has different styles and meanings. ‘How Beautiful You Are’ is a song by Robert Smith. The song is about love. A short summary of the song would be that there is this beautiful woman. A man and his father pass by and both the man and his father both say ‘How Beautiful You Are’. As mentioned before gothic is both romance and horror another example of a gothic song would be ‘Tainted Love’ by Marilyn Manson. This song is more horror type. It’s about these people who are having a party. It’s all very bright until a couple of people come along and ruin the brightness in this party, the room goes all black. The music sounds very heavy but the lyrics aren’t that depressive. These two songs show how gothic music can have different ways of expressing what it is.
