Hello,
I recently jumped on the bandwagon of university “secret” pages. Where students can anonymously post things they’ve done and other can read it. It’s simply a form of entertainment but yes occasionally it can get out of hand i.e. “I stole a mannequin from the 2nd floor from the uptown building”
I was threatened by an unhappy user, saying that I could easily be sued because it’s a false representation of our community however I clearly stated TWICE at the bottom of our description page that we’re in no way affiliated with the university.
NYU has a secrets page with 11k followers and their secrets are basically the same as ours so I don’t see the problem.
Am I subject for expulsion? If so I’ll take it down immediately.
Thank you!

Hey, guys!
So I have this ‘problem’ called video game addiction. I’m fine and not here to whine about stuff. Last two weeks I played 90 hours of TF2, so yeah. A full-time gamer, I am.
The thing is, I just got this idea that maybe I shouldn’t try to beat this addiction. I could use it instead. If you know anything about gaming theory, then you may agree that it could be used in real life situations. And that’s what I was thinking about. Using all the gaming mechanics to create a real life community. So the point is, you could play a game which would give you real life benefits with real-life activites.
This way people should not fight their addiction, but they could use it as a motivator.
For example:
You like playing RPGs. You come to our community or game or whatever. There you can create your character, which would be based on your real life avatar. So basically you are a lvl1 whatever guy. Let’s be honest, most of us are. From there you can get ‘quests’, choose your storyline stuffs, improve your character by doing different tasks, earn rewards, socialize with other ‘players’, participate in huge projects with others and so on. So we would make those tasks more interesting than they really are. So spending time on your own business wouldn’t be a work, but a kind of game with your friends. Let’s say you started the ‘Internet Marketer’ class. So you get grouped with 2 other people from that ‘guild’ and together you get small tasks, like ‘Find a good niche for your new site’ or something like that. They would be easy-to-do tasks, with instant rewards. Also you could compete with other groups and things like that.
Do you think it’s possible? Or is it a good idea? Any suggestions?
Also if you are interested, feel free to PM me. Any help or idea would be most welcomed. Also I could inform you guys if this thing becomes reality.
